Some of the most common types of questions asked in pageants relate to one's background, role models, goals and values. It is important to prepare compelling yet concise answers that showcase your personality and qualities in a positive light.

Questions often explore topics like gender roles, women's empowerment, poverty, the environment, healthcare, immigration and more. With compassion and wisdom, one should strive to have a respectful discussion that brings people together around shared humanity.

Climate change is an existential threat that impacts everyone. I would urge world leaders to take bold, united action following the guidance of scientists so that future generations may know the beauty and blessings of our natural world as we have.

Top 10 Beauty Pageant Questions and How To Answer Them
1. Why did you join this contest?
This is quite clear and open. There must be some reasons behind why you joined. So, all you
should do is to state your reasons in simple and straight forward manner. Example: I joined
this pageant to have a sense of achievement and fulfilment.
2. Who is the most influential person in your life?
There is, again, no straight answer to this. Anyone you mention as the most influential, go
ahead to state why the person is. You may say your mum, sibling, or going out of the box,
you can say something like “the maltreated girl child is the most influential person in my life.
Every day I wake up with their thoughts in my mind. Seeing them keeps me going because I
know one day, I will be in a position to change their lives and stories”.
3. Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10years?
State where you see yourself in few years to come. What kind of life and value do you wish
to represent? What kind of person should your name provoke in people’s mind?
4. Let’s assume you win this pageant, what would you do with the money?
You may have to circle back to the girl child example we used earlier. Or, you say whatever
you want to use the money for. Charity? Education? Business?
5. If you had the chance to start life afresh, what part of you would you change?
Depends on your story. You can decide to say “None”, I am who I am today because of my
past experiences. Changing them would mean changing “this” me. I love myself and I
wouldn’t have asked for a better life. Maybe you had a terrible experience as a child, you can
decide to say “I wish I wasn’t raped. But, thank God I was. That has been what is pushing me
to make sure no other girl goes through that. And for those who have gone through that, I am
better placed to help them because I know their pains.
6. Which popular person/figure/celebrity would you want to meet and want would you want
to learn from them?
The plan of your life or the people who have influenced you most should decide your choice
of answer.
7. If God should grant you one wish, what would it be?
The power to make sure no one suffers in life.
8. How would you describe yourself?
Are you down to earth? Goal-getter? I am an optimistic person. I look at things in a positive
way, thinking that the glass is half-full rather than half-empty. God has taught us how to trust
in Him and so I have. That is exactly the best and what I like most about myself.
9. What edge do you have over other contestants?
WARNING!!! Don’t sound too humble nor too cocky. Balance. I have very supportive
parents who have always been there all the way as not all girls who join pageants are actually
supported by their parents. Aside from that, I have prepared very well for this contest and I
am ready and equipped with all that it takes to be (Name of pageant).
10. What do you dislike about yourself?
Here the judges want to know if you’re battling with self-esteem but be bold enough and
Answer it thus: if i never created myself, I have no reason to dislike the good work of the
creator who did that at no cost. Am a perfect creature!
