    CASE STUDY

    Do you think Babel Group Incorporated’s decision of pushing through with the
    establishment of their new building in Malabon City was ethical? Why or why not?
    Justify your answer incorporating at least three classical philosopher’s beliefs.
    We think Babel Group Incorporated's decision of pushing through with the
    establishment of their new building in Malabon City is not ethical because according
    to the Theory of Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill which is Utilitarianism a moral
    theory that judges actions by their consequences for the overall happiness or
    suffering of all beings. Utilitarianism considers the interests of all sentient beings
    equally. This company must respect the rights of these informal settlers which lived
    their peacefully and happily and must take the accountability and responsibility as
    they are one of the largest company in the country they must follow the proper
    process, regulations and ethical privileges of the law but more than that to be an
    ethical company who upholds the human dignity and common goals towards the
    welfare of others like giving them time to find home, financial assistance or informed
    the local government about this informal settlers who doesn't have home and for the
    government to be aware in the situation and so that the problem will be resolved
    easily. Second according to Plutarch philosophy if you want to be a good leader you
    should be a good follower in other term being a good role model. Babel Group
    Incorporated have legacy for being one of the largest company in the country and a
    role model company for other business owners and they're being respected for that.
    If they do such actions to ruin the ethical rightness, principles and it's integrity as a
    company towards others just for personal gain. Peoples personal perspective
    towards the company will change because they don't set up a good example as they
    don't follow the ethical standards in handling the informal settlers dispute. And last
    the philosophy of Aristotle which states that let people seek fulfillment we all want
    happiness but we can't control and have everything. As for Babel Group
    Incorporated they can only achieve their company goals if they know how to value
    the truth, common good, virtue and sympathy for others struggles. Letting these
    informal settlers find the fulfillment by giving them assistance and help as we all
    human beings nothing is temporary, no one is inevitable the only thing that will
    always remain is change and one day Babel Group Incorporated will become an
    international company. If they follow the ethical philosophies and principles not just
    to create job or develop the local economy of the country but a company who
    upholds equality and importantize the rights of others as the foundation of there
    success.
