Navotas City

1. Leading Strategically

How does the school prepare for distance learning?

- The school primarily capacitate teachers through series of webinars to equip them
with the new knowledge and skill in teaching the new normal way in education
- Demonstration teaching is also conducted to prepare and practice teachers in the
new normal in education
- Series of orientation to stakeholders were also conducted such as the establishment
of TULAY MAKABAYAN which is a means of communication among the school
administration, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders during this time of
pandemic, parent orientation through advisers, and student orientation.
- Series of webinars on different teaching and learning modalities such as teaching
platforms, assessment, and related teaching strategies which are cost effective and
convenient to both teachers and learners.

2. Managing School Operations and Resources

How does the school manage its finances to support distance learning?

- The school asked for support of stakeholders through BRIGADA ESKWELA to give
students school supplies to be included in Navotas School in a Box, and also
included personal protective equipment such as facemask, and alcohol.
- Using DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2019 Re: MOOE Disbursement
- LCP
- Preparation of modules funded by the local government of Navotas City, and the
Department of Education
- Teachers also contributed their time and resources

3. Focusing on Teaching and Learning

When it comes to assessment, how does the school assess learning outcomes in the
new normal in education?

- The implementation of DePed Order No. 31, s. 2020, Interim Guidelines for
Assessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan
- The preparation of Task Sheet which is a collection of integrated tasks/activities
among different subject areas and supports DepEd PROJECT EASE
- Teachers were trained to use different teaching modalities such as suitable teaching
platform which are cost-effective and convenient
- Series of webinars and orientations to equip teachers in the new normal in education
- Provided technical assistance to teachers

4. Developing Self Others

When it comes to teachers support, how does the school prepare teachers to
distance learning?

- The school created a technical committee to provide technical assistance to teachers


specially those who are not tech. savvy
- Series of webinars to support and equip teachers in the new normal in education
- Orientations
- The school also provided mental health support to teachers through series of
webinars

5. Building Connections

What practices does the school employ to build connection with the teachers and
stakeholders?

- The establishment of Tulay Makabayan, a Facebook page that serves as means of


communication of the school administration to stakeholders to keep them updated
and well informed about the school activities, plans, and preparation in the new
normal in education.
- Teachers also conducted series of orientation to parents and students.
