1. What are the health benefits of recreational activities for you and your family? (5pts.) 
(3-5 sentences) Setting apart time to engage in leisure time activities with your family is
one of the best ways to bring down stress and unwanted worries. This also builds
stronger bonds among the members of the family. And aside from this, it increased life
expectancy, improves heart health, prevents bone disease, reduces chronic diseases –
diabetes, reduces obesity, and creates opportunities for life-long learning. This will, in
turn, add to your overall health and well-being.
One of the easiest methods to reduce stress and unneeded worry is to set aside time
for your family to participate in leisure activities. Additionally, it strengthens the ties that
bind family members together. Furthermore, it extends life expectancy, enhances heart
health, avoids bone damage, lowers the prevalence of chronic illnesses like diabetes,
reduces obesity, and opens doors to lifelong learning. This will, in turn, add to your
overall health and well-being.
2. What influences you to participate in recreational activities? (5pts) (3-5 sentences)
Like culture and art, recreation, leisure and sports activities play an important role in
communities. Their many benefits include improving the health and well-being of individuals,
contributing to the empowerment of individuals, and promoting the development of inclusive
communities. Recreation, leisure and sports activities may involve individuals, small groups,
teams or whole communities and are relevant to people of all different ages, abilities and levels
of skill. The types of recreation, leisure and sports activities people participate in vary greatly
depending on local context, and tend to reflect the social systems and cultural values influences
me to participate in recreational activities.
Sports, leisure, and recreation activities are crucial components of communities, just as
culture and the arts. They have a variety of positive effects, such as enhancing people's
health and well-being, assisting in their empowerment, and encouraging the growth of
inclusive communities. Sports, recreation, and leisure activities are significant to people
of all ages, skill levels, and groupings of people because they can engage individuals,
small groups, teams, or entire communities. Depending on the local environment,
individuals engage in a wide range of recreational, leisure, and sporting activities. These
activities frequently reflect the social structures and cultural values that impact my
choice to engage in recreational activities.
3. What recreational activity is available in your community and Explain how does it help
the community? If none, propose a recreational activity in your community, Why?

Both indoor and outdoor activities are available in our community. namely basketball,
volleyball, tennis, cycling, walking, gardening, etc. It does help our community in many
ways possible. It brings people together, providing opportunities for social
interaction, Creates positive alternatives to youth offending, antisocial
behaviour and crime, Creates opportunities for, and promotes,
volunteering, Promotes a healthy, active lifestyle, Develops life skills
and leadership abilities and Provides a sense of belonging. Sport and
recreation is not about winning, it's about helping build stronger,
healthier, happier, and safer communities. Communities that participate
in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds, are safer places
and the people who live in them are generally healthier and happier
than places where physical activity isn’t a priority. Like culture and art,
recreation, leisure and sports activities play an important role in communities.

Our community offers both indoor and outdoor activities. Sports like
basketball, volleyball, tennis, cycling, walking, gardening, etc. are some
of examples. It does, in a variety of ways, benefit our community. It
encourages a healthy, active lifestyle, creates chances for volunteering,
fosters the development of life skills and leadership potential, brings
people together, and fosters social contact. It also creates good
alternatives to juvenile offending, antisocial behavior, and crime. It is
more important to assist communities to become stronger, healthier,
happier, and safer through sport and recreation than it is to focus on
winning. Sport and recreation-oriented communities foster close-knit
social relationships, provide for safer neighborhoods and have generally
healthier and happier residents than those found in less active
communities. Recreational, recreational, and sporting activities are
significant components of communities, just as culture and the arts.
