INTRODUCTION
In the current era of digitalization, inventory management systems have become

essential for businesses to maintain their operations efficiently. In this context, we have
developed a Simple Inventory Management System (SIMS) that allows users to perform
CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations, store a list of products, and provide admin
access to manage the system effectively. The system is designed to provide the needs of
small to medium-sized businesses and can help streamline their inventory management
processes.
One of the key features of SIMS is its ability to perform CRUD operations. Users can
easily add, view, update, and delete their inventory items with just a few clicks. This feature
helps businesses to keep track of their inventory accurately, avoid stockouts, and ensure
that they have the right products available to meet their customers' demands. The system
also stores a list of products, which makes it easier for users to manage their inventory.
This feature allows businesses to track product details such as name, description, price,
and quantity, which can be useful for making informed decisions about inventory
management. SIMS also provides admin access, which allows authorized personnel to
manage the system effectively. Admins can add or remove users, view and update
inventory, and generate reports on inventory levels and sales. This feature ensures that the
system is secure and that only authorized personnel can access and make changes to the
system. Lastly, SIMS is built on a SQL database, which provides reliable and scalable
storage for inventory data. This feature ensures that the system can handle large amounts
of data and perform complex queries efficiently.
In conclusion, SIMS is a powerful inventory management system that offers a range

of features, including CRUD operations, product list storage, admin access, and SQL
database support. With SIMS, businesses can improve their inventory management
processes, reduce stockouts, and make informed decisions about their inventory levels.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION
The scope of this program is to provide a Simple Inventory Management System

(SIMS) that enables businesses to manage their inventory efficiently. The program's
primary focus is on the CRUD operations, product list storage, admin access, and SQL
database support. The program aims to provide a user-friendly interface that makes it easy
for users to add, view, update, and delete their inventory items. It will also allow businesses
to keep track of their business, generate reports on inventory sales.
Although the Simple Inventory Management System (SIMS) is designed to cater to

the needs of small to medium-sized businesses, it has certain limitations. The program's
delimitations include:
1. Limited functionality: SIMS is primarily designed for inventory management, and it

has limited functionality beyond that scope. It does not include features such as
accounting, invoicing, or payroll.
2. Hardware limitations: The program requires a computer or mobile device with a
stable internet connection to access and use the system. It may not be suitable for
businesses without access to these resources.
3. Security limitations: While SIMS provides admin access to manage the system, it is
not a full-fledged security system. It is recommended that businesses use additional
security measures to protect their data.
4. Limited scalability: While the program can handle large amounts of data, its
scalability may be limited depending on the hardware and database resources
available.
5. Limited support: The program does not provide 24/7 customer support. However,
users can access documentation and support resources to help them use the system
effectively.

CUSTOMER MASTER
A. System Requirements
The Simple Inventory Management System (SIMS) use MySQL database to store
customer records such as customer name, email and phone number as well as order items.
The system perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations, store a list of
customers in the database. The database has table named “customer” with the following

crucial functional requirements is customer data management. The system should be able
to capture and store accurate customer data. Also, the system should allow users to update,
modify, or delete customer data as needed. Additionally, system should enforce data

D. Scope and Limitation

The scope of customer master data is the collection of customer data. The program will
collect and store customer data, it can also perform CRUD operations (Create, Read,
Update, Delete) to maintain the accuracy and up to date data. However, there are also some
limitations to customer master like privacy and security measurements. Because it is only a
simple inventory and it is for small to medium size business, this has lack of security
measurements like encryption and data privacy.
E. Process and Control
The process and control of customer master data management involves several key
steps to ensure accurate and efficient management of customer data. First, the system must
store customer data accurately and completely, ensuring that all relevant information is
included, such as names, contact information, contact and other details. Once the data is
entered into the system database, it must be stored securely. Access to customer data
should be restricted to authorized personnel only or to the admin of the system only. In
terms of control, the admin of the system has a full control of the system, he/she is the one
who are capable of maintaining and protecting the program or the system.
PRODUCT MASTER
The system requirements for product master data management in an inventory
management system is the system must have the ability to capture and store product data
accurately and efficiently in the database. The database has table named “customer” with

The functional requirements for product master data management include several
key features that are necessary for managing and maintaining accurate product
information. First is the ability to create and manage product records, and the ability to add
or remove, configure the attributes for specific product. And the system should provide the
ability to track changes to product data over time.

The Purpose of this program is to manage product inventory, product sales and
other production processes. it enables user to perform task such as create, read, update,
delete operations on a list of products. The Inventory admin is a responsible for the central
settings of the Inventory management function. It keeps track of the goods and supplies in
a store and manages orders to facilitate sales or production. By monitoring the flow of
goods and supplies, businesses may make sure they have what they need on hand. This
system is connected to database SQL Exception class is used to handle any errors that may
occur while interacting with the database.

The scope of product master data management in an inventory management system
includes the creation, management, and maintenance of accurate and complete product
information. This encompasses product attributes such as product name, description and
pricing. However, there are some limitations to product master data management that
must be taken into consideration. One limitation is the potential for data duplication,

challenge of maintaining data quality, particularly when dealing with large volumes of
product data and security limitation.

Product master data process and control ensure that the data aree accurate and has
a efficient management of product data. The system should store at the database accurately
ensuring that all relevant information is included, such as product name, description and
price. Once the data is entered into the system, it must be stored securely and backed up
regularly and Access to product data should be restricted to admin only. Regular data
maintenance and updates should also be performed to ensure that the data remains
accurate and up-to-date.
INVENTORY MASTER
An inventory master data management should meet the business requirements of
providing accurate and complete inventory data, product information, data integration, and
inventory tracking.
Some functional requirements of inventory master data management include
managing and maintaining accurate and complete inventory information. This also include
primary functional requirements like ability to create and manage inventory records
update and delete records. Another key functional requirement is the ability to track
inventory movements and track changes to inventory data over time. In this way it ensures
that data is consistent and accurate.

ORDER DETAIL MASTER
Order details master data refers process of creating, storing, and managing order
details such as customer orders, order numbers, dates, quantities, total prices that has been
stored in the system database. The system should be reliable that can handle a high volume
of orders and process them quickly and accurately. The database has table named “order
detail” with the following data:

Order details master are focused on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and
timeliness of order data, which is important for efficient order processing. One of the
key requirements is to capture and store all relevant order data, including customer
information, order details, product information, and total price and many more. This
also include primary functional requirements like ability to create and manage order
details records update and delete records.

The objective of order details master data is to provide businesses with a
comprehensive and accurate view of all order data, enabling them to optimize order
processing, enhance the customer experience, and drive growth and profitability.

order details data in the system and it controls the movements of transactions in the

relevant information is included, such as order id, customer id, dates, quantities and
total price. Control measures, such as data validation and error correction procedures,
should be implemented to prevent errors and inconsistencies in the data.
Once the data is entered into the system database, it must be stored securely to
ensure data integrity and availability. Access to order data should be restricted to
admin. In terms of control, only the admin in the system should be capable of data
manipulation and data management order details master data management should be
always consistent and the process should not be compromise.
