CAN
Habilidad en el presente- I can speak English very well
Prohibición- You can´t smoke in this room, it is forbidden
Imposibilidad en el presente- That can´t be Susan, she is at work
Imposibilidad en el pasado- You can´t have failed, you studied a lot!
COULD
Habilidad en el pasado- When I was 8, I could do somersaults, but not anymore
Posibilidad en el presente- It could be raining, I don´t know
Posibilidad en el pasado- It could have snowed, but I am not sure
*BE ABLE TO
Habilidad- Next year, we will be able to travel, but not this year
MAY
Permiso en el presente- Two hours after eating, you may swim
Peticiones y sugerencias- Good morning, may I help you?
