Module 1- Becoming A DepEd Teacher

As a newly hired teacher in DepEd, what can you


contribute to:
a. promote quality education?
As a beginning teacher, I have to be familiarized first with the Department of Education.
I have to put first in mind and heart the mandate, mission, vision, core values, and strategic
direction of DepEd to ensure that I am promoting quality education as the department wants
me to. I will also make sure that I will be doing the best that I could in preparing and delivering
substantial lessons. I will also create an environment that is conducive for the students to learn.

they can feel safe.

As a new public school teacher, what are your visions for yourself, for your class, and your school
community?

As a teacher, I will encourage my students to participate and include them in the activities, recognize all
the good that they’ve done. Let them share their talents and their abilities and instill to the learners that
they matter and that they are important.

In order for Teacher Helga to provide a child- friendly, gender sensitive, safe and motivating
environment in her class, she should adapt the core values. Create a conducive environment for the

Religious issues around student expectations can for the most part be avoided with a little reflection and
planning before the semester even starts. Engaged students in a classroom marked by open inquiry and
mutual respect, we need to understand where our students are coming from and make sure not to
come across as flippant or dismissive. Respecting each religious rights. Let them explain of their different
views about their religion and also share to the learners that it is truly important to pray always.

Scenario 2

Teaching the learners to have faith. Instill among to them the same core value in the delivery of the
various learning activities through the integration of values in different learning areas. Teacher Molina
will have a discussion to make classroom rules, allowing the learners to weigh in on the dos and dont’s
of classroom etiquette, in doing so the learners maybe able to know also the do’s and don’ts in real life
situations.
