    SUBJECT: PROJECT SiKaPP (Sikaping Karunungan sa Pagbasa ay Panatilihin)

    1. In support of the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, Sinipian Elementary


    School is continuously fulfilling its mandate to produce productive and responsible citizens
    equipped with essential competencies and skills for lifelong learning. To make every learner a
    proficient reader, the school will implement Project SiKaPP as an intervention to help the learners
    develop their reading skills.
    2. The Phil IRI Pre-Test and Achievement Test Results reveal the following:
    a. There are still many learners struggling to meet the learning standards in reading.
    b. Low achievement levels in English, Math and Science appear to be caused by gaps in
    learners` reading comprehension.
    3. The project aims to:
    a. Enhance the reading ability of the learners;
    b. Develop among learners the importance of reading and its benefits;
    c. Increase learners participation;
    d. Increase comprehension level among learner;
    e. Ease of lesson delivery among subject teachers; and
    f. Increase learner’s performance.
    4. The participants to this project are the following:
    a. School Head
    b. Teachers
    c. Parents
    d. GPTA and LGU Officials
    e. Learners

    5. The funds and necessary expenses for this project shall be charged from the School`s
    Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE). Financial assistance from local government
    units and Parents and Teachers Associations may be utilized to augment this initiative.
    6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is earnestly desired.
