REFLECTION
The Sinigayan Festival is an annual event in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines that celebrates
the city's rich culture and heritage. It is held every 3rd week of March to honor their patron saint Joseph
and is back to its face-to-face activities after three years of postponement due to the COVID-19
pandemic. This year's theme is "We Listen… We Act Together" as it challenges the government and
stakeholders to be more sensitive to the needs of the city and Sagaynons.

Senator Francis Tolentino is the guest of honor at the 27th Sinigayan Festival opening at the Sagay City
Public Plaza on Wednesday, March 15. Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is expected to arrive
for a program at the plaza and the opening of the festival villages. The festival villages are "Bugay-Sagay
Agro-Aqua Festival Village", "Dagway Sagay Arts and Culture Festival Village," "Taliambong Food Festival
Village", and the "Livestock and Poultry Fair and Exhibits". The 5-day celebration will be highlighted by
the Sinigayan Queen pageant, livestock competition and seminars, cultural events, sports events, and
the "Saot Para Sa Dunang Manggad" Streetdance and Arena Competition.

The last day of the festival is March 19 and the bands Silent Sanctuary and I Belong to the Zoo is the
highligths, the band is playing at Sagay City National High School, and there are large crowd of people
enjoying the music and having a great time. The bands are known for their emotional and relatable
music, and it's not uncommon for people to sing along and dance to their songs.

As I jammed with my friend, we likely feel a sense of excitement and joy as we listened to the music and
joined in with the other attendees. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with people of all ages
enjoying the festivities and coming together to celebrate. The music of Silent Sanctuary and I Belong to
the Zoo would provide the perfect backdrop to the Fiesta, adding to the already vibrant and festive
atmosphere. We swept up in the energy of the crowd, moving and dancing to the beat of the music, and
enjoying the experience of being a part of something bigger than ourselves. Overall, attending a Fiesta
with the music of Silent Sanctuary and I Belong to the Zoo playing is an unforgettable experience, full of
joy, excitement, its was a fun ending of festival.
