ELISEO C. RONQUILLO SR. NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (formerly Quirino


National High School was established in 1977. The school is located at
Barangay Quirino, Maria Aurora, Aurora with the biggest land area and the
most populated barangay in the riverside and southern part of the Municipality
of Maria Aurora, Aurora. It has a total area of nine thousand eight hundred
ninety-six (9,896 sq. m.) square meters donated by the Eliseo C. Ronquillo Sr.,
where the school named after him. The school is situated near the Balete Eco
park where this is one of the tourist destinations in Aurora.
The school was established to provide quality education to the people
of Barangay Quirino and other neighboring barangays such as Barangay
Debucao, Detailen, San Leonardo, Dikildit, Sta. Lucia, Bagtu, Ramada and
other nearby Barangays.
Barangay officials, parents, alumni, and the community are very
supportive with regards to school’s programs, projects, and activities. They
work hand and hand for the common good of the learners as well as for the
improvement of the school. This is indeed necessary for the school to attain the
DepEd’s Vision, Mission and develop the Core Values.
In its long years of service. there is no incidence of crimes and other
human-induced hazards happened inside the school but usually experienced
incidence of natural hazards such as floods and tropical cyclones.
At present the school has Senior High School building with six rooms and
two hundred ten (210) Senior High School students. There are twenty
instructional rooms for six hundred twenty-one (621) Junior High School
students.
The school is armed with six (6) Senior High School teachers, twenty-nine
(29) Junior High School Students, one (1) school nurse, one senior bookkeeper,
one Administrative Assistant II (Disbursing Officers II) and with three utilities-
guard. For their professional growth and competence, they were provided
opportunities by attending seminars, training workshops, conferences, and in-
service trainings. Some are attending MA classes.
The school is known for the following, Best Implementer of Solid Waste
Management, Best Implementer of Gulayan sa Paaralan, Cleanest and
Greenest Secondary school in Aurora and Best Implementer-Brigada Eskwela.
Recently, the school received a National Award which is Best Implementer –
Brigada Eskwela 2017. January 1, 2022, Eliseo C. Ronquillo was approved as
Implementing unit school (Autonomous).
