    Assembly Instructions 8000450-04

    Ku-band Feed Support Legs


    Model(s) 2.4 Meter Offset Reflector Model 6116124-14

    Note: The 2.4 m Ku Feed Legs can be used with several Skyware Global feed assemblies or bracket kits. Refer to the
    instructions included with the feed/bracket kit during the feed leg installation procedure. Parts from the feed/bracket
    kit will be used to complete the installation. These instructions are to be used in conjunction with the main antenna
    assembly manual
    8000450-03 for the 2.4 Meter Type 243 Antenna System.

    Insert bottom feed leg (2) into clamp (4) and align alignment hole in feed leg with alignment pin inside clamp. Install
    bottom feed leg (2) with clamp (4) onto bottom edge of reflector, securing with two M6 carriage bolts, flat washers,
    lock washers, and hex nuts (5, 7, 9, & 8). Tighten these two bolts sufficiently to support the bottom feed leg while com-
    pleting the assembly.

    NOTE: Bottom feed leg is the one with open round ends on both ends with lances on one end and alignment hole in
    opposite end. Insert end with hole into bottom feed leg clamp (2).

    Install side feed legs (3) to sides of reflector (1) as shown in Figure 1. Secure with M6 hex bolt, flat washers, lock washer
    and hex nut (6, 7, 9, & 8). Do not tighten.

    Refer to the feed/bracket instructions for details: Insert bottom feed leg (2) into feed bracket (10) until lance on leg is
    engaged.Insert side feed legs (3) into feed bracket (10) and secure with M6 hardware from feed/bracket kit.

    IMPORTANT: Tighten and torque bolts securing side feed legs to feed bracket and reflector to 4 ft-lb. (5.4 N-m).
    Tighten and torque carriage bolts securing bottom feed leg clamp to reflector to the same value.

    Refer to feed/bracket kit Instructions to complete assemble and installation of the feed assembly. Use bottom feed
    leg as conduit and route coaxial cable up through leg or secure cables to the outside of the leg with cable ties (not
    included).
