Opening Sequence:
FADE IN:
EXT. VALLEY - DAY
The camera pans over the valley, revealing a group of skilled warriors preparing for battle.
MASTER OOGWAY (V.O.)

Legend tells of a legendary warrior, whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend.
Cut to:
EXT. MOUNTAIN - DAY
TAI LUNG, an evil snow leopard, leads his army of minions up the mountain.

He traveled the land in search of worthy foes.
Cut to:
INT. PRISON - DAY
The warriors engage in a fierce battle with Tai Lung and his minions.

He found them.
The warriors ultimately defeat Tai Lung and capture him.

But instead of glory, he found only isolation.
FADE TO BLACK.
Po's Dream:
FADE IN:
INT. PO'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
PO is sleeping, and we hear him snoring loudly. Suddenly, he starts to dream.
PO (V.O.)
I am the Dragon Warrior!
Cut to:
INT. JADE PALACE - NIGHT
PO stands with the Furious Five, looking heroic.
PO (V.O.)
I am the strongest, the bravest, the most...
Suddenly, TAI LUNG appears, and the mood changes.
TAI LUNG
(laughing)
You? The Dragon Warrior? Hah!
PO (V.O.)
No! No! No!
Cut to:
INT. PRISON - NIGHT
Tai Lung taunts Po as he tries to run away.
TAI LUNG
(cackling)
You are not the Dragon Warrior! You will never be the Dragon Warrior!
FADE TO BLACK.
Po's Introduction to the Furious Five:

FADE IN:
INT. JADE PALACE - DAY
PO enters the room and sees the Furious Five.
PO
Hi! I'm Po.
The Furious Five look unimpressed.
TIGRESS
(mocking)
Master Shifu has been talking about you. We were expecting someone... bigger.
PO
(smiling nervously)
Well, uh, he-he-he didn't know I was coming.
MONKEY
(dismissive)
Anyone can see that.
PO
(shyly)
But, uh, maybe I could... I could...
CRANE
(cutting him off)
Maybe you should just go.
PO
(awkwardly)
Yeah. Yeah. That's a good idea.
PO turns to leave, but suddenly falls over.
CRANE
(amused)
Whoa! Look at that.
The Furious Five start laughing.
Training with Master Shifu:

FADE IN:
INT. TRAINING ROOM - DAY
MASTER SHIFU stands at one end of the room, holding a delicate piece of rice paper.
MASTER SHIFU
Hold this.
PO looks confused but takes the paper.
PO
This is it? This is what I've been waiting for?
MASTER SHIFU
(firmly)
Yes.
PO tries to hold the paper but keeps tearing it.
MASTER SHIFU
(mocking)
You have been chosen to be the Dragon Warrior? Ha! You? (shaking his head) You will never be the
Dragon Warrior.
PO looks discouraged but tries again.
MASTER SHIFU
(to himself)
What was I thinking? (sighs)
PO suddenly manages to hold the paper without tearing it.
MASTER SHIFU
(surprised)
Hmph. (smirks) Impressive.
Tai Lung's Escape:

FADE IN:
INT. PRISON - DAY
GUARDS are gathered outside Tai Lung's cell.
GUARD
(to other guards)
So, who's hungry?
Suddenly, Tai Lung breaks out of his cell and starts fighting the guards.
TAI LUNG
(yelling)
I'm free! I'm finally free!
The guards try to stop him, but Tai Lung defeats them with ease.
TAI LUNG
(grinning)
Time to get back to business.
Po's Training Montage:

FADE IN:
PO trains with the Furious Five, who are still skeptical of his abilities.
MONKEY
(mocking)
Oh, look at me, I'm the Dragon Warrior! I'm so strong and powerful!
TIGRESS
(sarcastically)
Wow, he's really impressive.
PO struggles to keep up with the others, but keeps trying.
CUT TO:
INT. TRAINING ROOM - DAY
MASTER SHIFU trains Po in the art of kung fu, often using unorthodox methods.
MASTER SHIFU
(tossing Po in the air)
You must believe in yourself. (catching Po) Your only limitation is the one you set up in your own
mind!
PO lands on the ground, wincing in pain.
MASTER SHIFU
(mocking)
Oh, sorry. Did that hurt?
PO
(whimpering)
A little.
MASTER SHIFU
(grinning)
That's because it was supposed to.
CUT TO:
INT. PANDA VILLAGE - DAY
PO trains with his father, MR. PING, who runs a noodle shop.
MR. PING
(chopping vegetables)
The secret ingredient of my famous noodle soup is... nothing!
PO
(confused)
Huh?
MR. PING
(smiling)
I just add a pinch of love and a lot of hot water.
PO smiles and continues training.
FADE TO BLACK
The Dragon Scroll:

FADE IN:
EXT. JADE PALACE - DAY
The Furious Five and Po stand outside the palace, waiting for the arrival of Tai Lung.
VIPER
(worried)
We're not gonna be able to stop him this time.
TIGRESS
(determined)
Then we'll have to work together.
MASTER SHIFU
(serious)
Stay focused, everyone. Remember your training.
Suddenly, Tai Lung appears in a swirl of dust and smoke.
TAI LUNG
(smiling)
Well, well, well. Look who's here. The Dragon Warrior. Po, is it? Yes, I've heard of you.
PO
(nervously)
You have?
TAI LUNG
(laughing)
Oh yes. You're the big, fat panda who's supposed to save the world. Ha! That's rich.
Po takes a deep breath and tries to stand up to Tai Lung.
PO
(defiantly)
I may not be a great kung fu warrior, but I am a warrior of kung fu. And I will fight to protect the
valley, and the people I love.
TAI LUNG
(skeptical)
Impressive speech. But it's too bad you don't have the Dragon Scroll.
PO
(confused)
The what?
TAI LUNG
(grinning)
The Dragon Scroll. The key to limitless power. And I have it.
Tai Lung holds up a scroll, but before he can do anything, Po and the Furious Five attack him with
everything they've got. The battle is intense and brutal, but they eventually manage to defeat Tai Lung.
CUT TO:
Po and the Furious Five enter the palace, exhausted but victorious. MASTER SHIFU approaches Po
and hands him the Dragon Scroll.
MASTER SHIFU
(proudly)
Well done, Po. You are the Dragon Warrior.
PO
(amazed)
But what does it mean? Look at this thing. How is this supposed to make me a great warrior?
MASTER SHIFU
(smiling)
It's said that the Dragon Scroll contains the secret to limitless power. But that is not true. The secret to
limitless power lies within oneself. The Dragon Scroll is merely a reflection of the seeker.
PO looks at the scroll, then at his reflection in a nearby pool of water.
PO
(realizing)
So, what you're saying is, the only thing I need to be a great kung fu warrior is already inside me?
MASTER SHIFU
(nodding)
You are wise beyond your years, Po.
Po smiles, feeling confident and proud.
FADE TO BLACK.
