Student's Comprehension

If your Professor says "Attending my Class is not a guarantee of passing." What

does he means? Elaborate.
If my Professor says "Attending my Class is not a guarantee of passing."
he means is that by just attending his class will not guarantee my passing.
As a student I should also participate in class, in the activities and be more
productive in class. I also have to do things like turn in homework,
complete assignments, and get reasonable test grades to pass the class.
LIFE CYCLE AND GOAL SETTING Activity Output
MODULE ACTIVITIES
1. Using the graph below, plot the most significant events in each stage of your life which
you think have shaped you become a better individual. You may use drawings, pictures,
emoticons and other images that will explain these events. You may plot as many as you
want, either good or not-so-good.

Synthesis:

1. Among the life stages, which do you think is your best stage and your worst
stage?
I think the best stage for me is early school age and I think the worst is the early
adolescence age.
2. Why would you consider that stage as the best phase of your life?
Well I really can’t say that it is the best since I’m still in the phase of experiencing
many things in life. But for now I consider the best phase is early school age as my
best phase because of my past experience, I still remember the things I have done
in my early school age. I still remember the funny and embarrassing moment I have
done in my early school age.
3. What did you learn from the worst experience? How did you handle such
experience?
I learned plenty of things from my worst experience. But I think one of the thing that
stuck in me is that we have to trust and love ourselves first before you do it to
others. I handle the situation by accepting the fact of the problem and analyzing the
situation.

positivity in life, for every challenges I met I will not give up easily. One more thing is to
change my bad habits.

In school:
As a student, I will do my best to be an inspiration to others. I want to show them my

the community to improve.
SELF COMPASSION AND SELF KINDNESS Activity Output
1. REFLECTION
Instructions:
Think about a specific scenario times when your close friend felt bad about himself or herself or
is really struggling in some way. How did you respond to your friend in this situation (especially
when you’re at your best)? Please write down your responses following the five elements of
compassion discussed by Strauss, et al., 2016.

• Recognizing suffering of others

Some of my friends are having a hard time sharing their own problems or their worries, thinking
it will just be a burden to me. That’s why when I recognize that they have problem or change in
their behavior, I will not ask them immediately and approach them carefully and wait for them to
open up. I will let them feel that I am just beside them and willing to listen to their problems.

• Understanding the common humanity of this suffering

We can’t force them to over come their problem like it was easy to do. We have our own way
and phase how we over come the struggles or the problems. We have to ask first the problem
and the situation and give them advise or just listen to them, so that they can feel they are not
alone.

• Feeling emotionally connected with the person who is suffering

When we are connected to them emotionally, we can easily tell how they feel or when their
behavior suddenly change. They can at least feel at ease telling their problem to me and I can
know how I will comfort her.

• What difficult feelings did you experience during that situation?

The difficult feelings I experience is that I don’t know if I’m giving them the right advise or did I at
least help her. And when I don’t know what to say to her and all I can do is listen to her.

• What was your motivation to help the person?

I don’t want to see them suffer and be depress, knowing that I can at least do something to
ease their pain.
MODULE ACTIVITIES

ESSAY WRITING.
Answer the following questions truthfully.
Tell a personal experience in which you think you showed compassion for yourself.
Do you always feel compassionate for others? In what ways?
Share one instance which you think you failed to show compassion to your brethren.
What did you do? What do you plan to do to correct that mistake?
Compassion is the ability to feel for someone who is suffering. Self-compassion is
extending that same sense of understanding and empathy to myself. It’s not easy to
feel compassion to myself. I often get drowned in guilt. But I’m developing self-
compassion by not comparing myself to others anymore. I’m not even comparing
myself to me. Instead of forcing myself to do what everyone else does, I give myself
what I need. If it’s a nap, it’s a nap. But I always feel compassion to others by listening
to them and understand what they want to convey.
