C. Motivation
Teacher will ask the students to close their eyes, be quiet,
and try to listen to their surroundings. After a while, they are
asked by the teacher these questions:
1. What did you hear?
2. Where do you think the sound came from?
3. How will you describe the sound?
4. What did you feel after hearing that certain sound all of
a sudden?
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
a.) Identify loud and soft sounds;
b.) Identify vowel letters upon hearing vowel sounds; and
c.) Differentiate vowel letters to vowel sound;
E. Discussion
Loud sounds are sounds that has high volume while soft
sounds are sounds with low volume.
Based from the activities earlier, sounds come not only from
the things in our surroundings, but also to the letters or
words that we say or use to communicate every day.
Teacher will tell the students that they will focus first on
vowel letters and its sounds or vowel sounds on the
Alphabet.
The vowel letters in the Alphabet are Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, and Uu.
For pupils to easily remember the vowels “a, e, i, o, u”,
teacher will teach them the song and play a video of the
nursery rhyme “Old Mcdonald had a Farm”. And instead of
going “e, i, e, i, o”, they will change it to “a, e, i, o, u”.
F. Application/Developing Mastery
Teacher will show pictures of animals and things with initial
sounds /a/, /e/, /i/, /o/, /u/. Then, pupils will match these
pictures to the letters from the table based on the pictures’
initial sounds.
G. Generalization
Loud sounds are sounds that has high volume while soft
sounds are sounds with low volume.
The vowel letters in the Alphabet are Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, and Uu.
H. Valuing
Vowels is a crucial part of our language. Without them, we
wouldn't be able to speak or sing. They're also important for
learning how to read and write English or other languages.
