    LUMIFLON® LF-710F Resin

    Product Data Sheet

    Asahi Glass developed LUMIFLON fluoropolymers in 1982. These unique products are the first
    solvent-soluble fluoropolymers in the world. LUMIFLON polymers are made of alternating
    fluoroethylene and alkyl vinyl ether segments (FEVE). The fluorinated segments provide
    outstanding UV stability, weather resistance, and chemical resistance, while the vinyl ether
    segments provide solvent compatibility and cross-linking sites.

    LUMIFLON LF-710F
    LF-710F is used in powder coatings. LUMIFLON LF-710F makes a coating that provides
    outstanding weathering resistance, as well as chemical resistance. LF-710F can be used to make
    either high or matte finish powder coatings. The resin can be crosslinked with standard aliphatic
    blocked isocyanates. Potential applications for coatings made with LF-710F include architectural
    (window frames and construction panels), heavy equipment coatings, and clear coats for
    automotive and aerospace applications.

    Table 1 shows typical physical properties for LUMIFLON LF-710F, while Table 2 shows coating
    properties. Figure 1 shows QUV-B weathering data for typical fluorourethanes made with LF-
    710F.
