    • Animal weight= 600kg
    • Milk production= 28 liters / day
    • Lactation days = 38
    • Milk fat % = 4.5%
    Available ingredients:-
    • Wheat straw => 4.8% Cp , 92% DM , 1.44 ME
    • Lucerne => 24 % Cp , 21.5% DM , 2.46 ME
    • Maize Silage=> 8.8 % Cp , 35% DM , 2.99 ME
    •Concentrate ( wanda ) => 22%cp , DM-88% , ME = 3.1 Mcal/kg
    Formulation:-
    DMI => 600 x 3.3% => 19.8kg (20kg)
    1- Fodder
    • 20 x 60% = 12kg
    2- Concentrate
    • 20 x 40% = 8 kg
    4% Fat corrected Milk ( FCM )
    4.5% FCM = 0.4 x 28 + 15 ( 0.45 )
    = 11.2 + 0.675
    = 11.875
    Animal’s Requirements:-

    Requirements ME (Mcal/day) CP(kg)

    Maintenance ( MEm) 16.28 0.406

    Production requirements 1.35x11.875 = 16 0.096x11.875 = 1.14

    Total Requirements = 32.28 = 1.546(kg)


    =32.28 (Mcal/d) =15.46%
    2- Concentrate ( Wanda )
    • 9.1 kg x 88% = 8kg ( DMI )
    • 9.1kg x 22% = 2.002 ( CP )
    • 9.1% x 3.1 = 0.2821 ( ME )
    1- Fodder=> 12 kg DMI
    i) Green roughage => 2/3 x 12 = 8kg
    ii) Dry Roughage => 1/3 x 12 = 4kg
    • Silage
    16x 35% = 5.6 ( DM )
    16x 8.8% = 1.408( CP)
    16% x 2.99 = 0.4784( ME )
    • Lucerne
    11x21.5% = 2.365 ( DM )
    11x 24% = 2.64 ( CP )
    11% x 2.46= 0.2706 ( ME )
    • Wheat straw
    4.4 x 92% = 4.048 ( DM )
    4.4 x 4.8 = 0.2112 ( CP )
    4.4% x 1.44 = 0.06336 ( ME )
    1- Total Calculated DMI = 4.048 + 1.72 + 6.3 = 12.068 kg
    Required Dmi = 12 kg
    Difference = 12.068 – 12 = + 0.068

    Note:-
    Difference value upto 0.1 can be neglected.

    2- Total Calculated CP = 1546(g) or => 15.46%


    Required= 1546(g) or => 15.46%
    Difference => 15.46% - 15.46% = 0

    3- Total Calculated ME = 0.28 + 32.4 = 32.54Mcal/dat


    Required= 32.28
    Difference= 32.54 – 32.28 = +0.26

    Note:-;
    Difference ME value upto 0.50 can be neglected
    Inclusion rate:-
    Silage = 16 kg
    Lucerne= 11kg
    Wheat straw= 4.4kg
    Concentrate= 9.1 kg
    Total Feed ( TMR) as feed Basis= 40.5kg
    On DM basis
    Cp% = 15.46%
    ME= 32.54 Mcal/day
    DM% =20kg
