Lesson Planning

My Aims/Purposes

At the end of the activity, I should be able to:

a. identify the correct format of lesson plan for specific subject;

b. identify the different parts of a lesson plan for specific subject;
c. compare and analyze the formats of lesson plan introduced in the campus
and/or in cooperating school, and
d. develop a clear and legible lesson plan as required by the cooperating
teacher and supervising instructor integrating the suggestions.

My Responsibilities

Lesson planning is the teacher’s road map of what learners need to learn
and how it will be done effectively during the teaching-learning process. It provides
teachers with a general outline of teaching goals, learning objectives, and means
to accomplish them, and is by no means exhaustive. It is on this note that teaching
interns write lesson plans that function as blueprints in order to achieve a quality,
effective, and efficient teaching-learning process.

As a teaching intern, I should:

a. attend orientation regarding lesson planning;

b. identify the proper format of lesson plan per subject area;
c. draft a lesson plan and submit to cooperating teacher/ supervising instructor
for assessment and evaluation; and
d. write the final write-up of lesson plan.

My Observations (Reflections and Insights)

1. What are the different parts of a lesson plan introduced in the school?
(Note: The sample LP must be based on your major/specialization)

Before I started to make my first draft of Lesson Plan, my cooperating teacher gave me
__________________________________________________________________
a sample of a format introduced in Don Ramon E. Costales Memorial National High School.

The format she gave me is a sample of a Detailed Grammar Lesson Plan that contains of the

2. Does the learning plan reflect principles of learning, and alignment across goals,
and assessments?

__________________________________________________________________
Yes. As we are considering first to write in the lesson plan is the learning objectives
__________________________________________________________________
that our students should achieve before leaving the lesson in that particular module. It is our
__________________________________________________________________
students who will attain the objectives that the teacher. Teacher is just a facilitator. In our
__________________________________________________________________
assessment or activities part, it should be alligned to our objectives that our students will
__________________________________________________________________
perform/accomplish. And lastly, in our instructional strategies, all our activities should
__________________________________________________________________
provide reinforcement to our learning objectives and assessments.
__________________________________________________________________
According to Eberly Center (2023), Assessments should reveal how well students
__________________________________________________________________
have learned what we want them to learn while instruction ensures that they learn it. For this
__________________________________________________________________
to occur, assessments, learning objectives, and instructional strategies need to be closely
__________________________________________________________________
aligned so that they reinforce one another.

3. If you are going to teach the lesson to the same group of learners, what would
you do differently? Why? What would you do the same? Why?

In Don Ramon E. Costales Memorial National High School, the assigned cooperating

teachers to us teaching every one of us to conduct the differentiated instruction. Where the

prepare and assigned the students according to their strengths and/or needed skills that the

students need to develop more or enhance. So, this is the great strategies that we can conduct
__________________________________________________________________
during our discussion.
__________________________________________________________________
According to Mark Anthony Llego (2014 - 2023), there are many reasons why
__________________________________________________________________
differentiated instruction is so important. First, it allows all students to reach their fullest
__________________________________________________________________
potential in the classroom. In a traditional classroom setting, students who are not
‘__________________________________________________________________
high-achievers’ can often feel lost or bored. In contrast, students who can

omplete the work assigned may become frustrated with not being challenged

e nough. Second, differentiated instruction helps teachers assess and identify
__________________________________________________________________
the needs of each student. By providing different tasks and activities suited
__________________________________________________________________
to each student’s abilities, teachers can better understand what each student
__________________________________________________________________
knows and does not know.
