INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION AND INDUSTRY

Syngenta AG is a provider of agricultural science and technology, in


particular seeds and pesticides with its management headquarters in Basel,
Switzerland. It is owned by Chem China, a Chinese state – owned enterprise.

Syngenta was founded in 2000 by the merger of the agrichemical


businesses of Novartis and AstraZeneca.

In 2012 Ranebennur branch was established

Syngenta is a global company with headquarters in Switzerland.

Syngenta industry in ranebennur is a one of the most leading


company in the Nation. It establishes in the year of 2000, the J Erik
Fyrwald was CEO of SYNGENTA PVT.LTD. More than 150 employees
working in Syngenta industry in Ranebennur. It has around 14 acres in
the area Hanumanamatti. In its present form Syngenta is a young
company Bur it stems from an industrial tradition going back almost
250 years.

Meaning of Financial Statement :-
Financial statements are written records that convey the business
activities and the financial performance of the company.
 Features of the Financial statements :-
1. Financial statements are prepared of the end of the accounting period.
2. Financial statements disclose facts and opinion.
3. Financial statements are recorded facts of financial transactions based
on historical cost.
4. Financial statements are greatly affected by personal judgement of the
accountants.

Objectives of Financial statement :-


1. To provide an accurate and reliable financial information.
2. To provide overall changes made in the financial information.
Types of Financial statement :-
1. Income statement or Profit / loss statement
It is a summary of the revenue and expenses for a specific period of
time.
2. Retained earnings statement
The statement of retained earning shows the accumulated profit of a
company after dividend are paid to shareholders.
3. Balance sheet
A statement of the assets, liabilities, and capital of a business or
other organization at a particular point in time, detailing the balance
of income and expenditure over the preceding period.
4. Cash flow statement
The cash flow statement shows the source of cash and helps you
monitor incoming and outgoing money.

 Syngenta industry is purely argritech industry, it maintains day to day
accounts. And also it paid the every year taxes.

 The Syngenta industries 2022`s financial statement is very good


compare to the previous year statements.

 Current ratio :-
The current ratio is a working capital ratio or banker`s ratio. The
current ratio expresses the relationship between a current assets to
current liabilities.

Current ratio = Current assets / Current liabilities

2022 = 1698.59 / 2311.35


= 0.42 : 0.58

2021 = 1152.29 / 2213.98


= 0.34 / 0.65
 Acid test ratio/ quick ratio
Quick ratio is a type of liquidity ratio, which measureses the ability
of a company to use its near cash or quick assets to extinguish or retire
its current liabilities immediately.

Quick ratio = Current assets – Inventory / Current liabilities

2022 = 953.59 / 2311.35


= 0.29 : 0.71

2021 = 557.14 / 2213.98


= 0.20 : 0.80
 Inventory turnover ratio
The inventory turnover ratio is the number of times a company has sold
replenished its inventory over the amount of specific period of time.

Inventory turnover ratio = Cost of goods sold / Average Inventory

Cost of goods sold = opening inventory + Purchase of inventory – Sales of


inventory + Closing inventory
= 754 – 595.25
= 158.75

Average inventory = 754 + 595.25 / 2


= 674.625
= 158.75/ 674.625
= 0.19 : 0.81
