Part 2
When a person is born into the world they are “born of the flesh, in Adam.” The word
Adam, means “mankind, male and female. Adam also means “a living soul; a living creature; a
human being with a body of flesh and bones, that needs air to breath to continue to live.” When the
first man was created, he was also called Adam.
It says in Genesis 2:7, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” In 1 Corinthians
15:45-47, it says, “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul (psuche);
the last Adam was made a quickening spirit...Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but
that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual...The first man is of the earth,
earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
In John 1:1-4, it says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God...The same was in the beginning with God...All things were made by him;
and without him was not any thing made that was made...In him was life (zoe); and the life
(zoe) was the light of men.” Then in John 5:26, it also says, “For as the Father hath life (zoe) in
himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life (zoe) in himself.”
Before Jesus came into this world, “Jesus was spiritual.” Jesus was “the Word of God.”
Jesus had the very “life (zoe)” of God the Father in Him.
When Jesus was with the Father as “the Word of God,” He was not of this world. Jesus did
not have a physical body of flesh and bones. When Adam was created in Genesis 2:7, Adam did not
have spiritual life (zoe). Adam was earthy, of this earth and Jesus was heavenly, from heaven above
(1 Cor. 15:45-49).
When we were born into this world, we were born “in Adam.” We were created in Adam,
“a living soul” in a body of flesh and bones. Therefore, we were human beings that needed air to
breathe to live on this earth.
When Jesus became a man, with “a physical body of flesh and bones,” He did not stop being
“a living soul” in a spiritual body with the life (zoe) of God the Father in Him. Jesus was the
beginning of a “new creation” of mankind, “a living soul in a spiritual body,” which does not need
air to breathe.
Jesus had a spiritual body and spiritual life (zoe) in Himself before He became a man with
a physical body of flesh and bones.
Jesus came into this world to give unto those who already were “a living soul in a body of
flesh and bones” spiritual life (zoe) in Him. When we receive Jesus as “our LORD,” we become born
again, with the very life (zoe) of God the Father that was in Jesus from the very beginning of all
creation. This life (zoe) of God is not natural life (psuche), but it is spiritual life (zoe).
Therefore, Jesus is called “the last Adam,” in 1 Corinthians 15:45. Jesus is also called “the
second man” in 1 Corinthians 15:47. Jesus is the beginning of a new creation of mankind “in the
spirit of Christ.”
Everyone born into this world of human parents are born in the flesh of Adam, and have
earthly life. All who are born again of the Word of God and the Spirit of God are “new creatures in
Christ Jesus.” It says in Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” All who are truly born again in
Christ Jesus are no longer in the flesh of Adam, but they are in the Spirit of Christ.
Only those who are truly born again are “in Christ.” Those who are not truly born again are
still “in Adam.” This is important to understand, for it says in 1 Corinthians 15:22, “For as in Adam
all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
2
From Adam to Christ
We were all “in Adam” when we came into this world, born of the flesh. We were born
without knowledge, or understanding of earthly things or of heavenly things. We did not understand
natural things or spiritual things. We had no idea of why we were born into this world?
We were taught everything we know by the knowledge of those whom we got to know in this
world. Most people were taught by their mothers and fathers. Yet, many never even knew their
mothers or fathers, therefore they were taught by others.
In Genesis 2:16,17, it says, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every
tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat...But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die {die, die:
two deaths}.”
From the time that Adam sinned against the LORD God and ate of the tree of knowledge of
good and evil, the world has been living by “the knowledge of good and evil.”
The knowledge of good and evil brings sin, and sin brings death (Gen. 2:16,17). In Romans
5:12, it says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so
death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
In 1 Corinthians 15:22, it says, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made
alive.” Romans 8:9, says, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit
of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
Christians, who are truly born again are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit of Christ. Now, that
we are born again, we must learn how to live in the Spirit, and not in the flesh. We must be taught
by the Holy Spirit, not by men, who live by the knowledge of good and evil.
Being born again of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, we must do what we are told in
Romans 12:2, where it says, “And be not (no longer) conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Jesus said in John 6:45, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of
God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
In 1 John 2:27 it says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye
need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is
truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
Christians, who are taught by men, are still living by the knowledge of good and evil. Those
who are taught by God, should live by the Word of God, which is “Jesus Christ” Himself.
3
Believe Jesus
Until Christians believe that Jesus cannot lie, they will have many situations in their lives that
will hinder them from receiving from God what God has promised every Christian. Until we believe
in our heart that everything Jesus said is truth, the Devil will blind our minds and cause us to follow
the teachings of men rather than what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us.
The most important thing a Christian can do is learn to believe everything Jesus said to us.
We must first judge ourselves, before we judge others. If we think we are doing the will of God, we
need to see what Jesus said we should be doing.
We should judge ourselves by certain statements that Jesus made to everyone who claims to
be a Christian. In John 14:12, Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go
unto my Father.” If these signs are not operating in our lives, there is something wrong with what
we believe. We need to find out what is wrong, that these signs are not following us wherever we
go.
Usually, the reason these signs are not following born again Christians is that they are
believing what men teach, and “are no being taught by God.” Many born again Christians follow the
teachings of men, who teach things that are contrary to what Jesus taught, and contrary to what the
Holy Spirit teaches. They belong to Churches that teach their doctrines and theologies, that do not
agree with the written Word of God in the New Testament.
As an example, in Mark 16:16,17, Jesus said, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be
saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned...And these signs shall follow them that
believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.” One of the
first things a born again Christian should notice is that Jesus said, “...In my name shall they cast
out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.”
There are many Churches today that say they are Christians, and say they are teaching the
Word of God, while they also say that “speaking in tongues is not for today.” That is a lie of the
Devil, and anyone who is truly born again knows in their spirit that speaking in tongues is of God.
In 1 Timothy 4:1 it says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” When
someone tells a born again Christian that speaking in tongues is not for today, they are speaking a
lie, a doctrine of devils. The Devil does not want Christians “...casting out devils and speaking in
tongues” (Mark 16:17).
As long as a person continues to stay in a Church that teaches that, “speaking in tongues is
not for today,” they most likely will never enter into the Kingdom of God. Their minds are blinded
by the god of this world, through the teachings of men.
The Devil uses men and women to teach his doctrines in many Churches that say they are
Christian Churches. Jesus said, the Devil is a liar, and the father of lies (John 12:44). If we believe
the lies of the Devil, we most likely will never enter into the Kingdom of God.
To enter the Kingdom of God, a person must first be born again (John 3:3,5). Then they must
study the Scriptures, especially the teachings of Jesus in the four gospels. What Jesus told us is the
Truth. Jesus cannot lie. If Jesus said in Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that
believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues,” then we
should believe Jesus and receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in
tongues.
Very few Christians today know or understand what Jesus was talking about when He went
about, “...preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God...And saying, The time is fulfilled, and
the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:14,15).
Jesus is the King of the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is the one who is in control of the
Kingdom of God here on earth. If the Holy Spirit is not in control of what Christians do, they are not
4
living in the Kingdom of God.
The words “Kingdom of God,” mean “the reign of God the Holy Spirit.” If the Holy Spirit
is not reigning in the lives of Christians, then they are being deceived by the enemy, thinking they
are doing the will of God without being taught by the Holy Spirit. Men cannot teach us how to do
the will of God. Men can teach “about the Kingdom of God,” but only the Holy Spirit can teach the
truth concerning the Kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit cannot teach anyone the things of God if they do not receive the Holy Spirit
“as their teacher.” This is why it tells us in 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received
of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall
abide in him.”
If Christians do not believe what Jesus told us, they will not believe what the Holy Spirit tells
us either. They will become religious and follow the teachings of men, but they will not experience
the power of the Holy Spirit working in their lives on a daily bases.
God will manifest in the lives of every truly born again Christian to some degree. God
continually does things in the lives of Christians and even non-Christians, to let them know that God
loves them, and wants them to come into the Kingdom of God and be taught by the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus lived upon this earth as the Son of God, He taught what He could teach, but there
were many things that Jesus could not teach. Therefore, Jesus said in John 16:12,13, “I have yet
many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now...Howbeit when he, the Spirit of
truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” In John
14:26, Jesus sais, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in
my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever
I have said unto you.” Jesus said, “...the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you ALL THINGS...” Did you notice Jesus said, “ALL THINGS?” Who did Jesus say
is to do the teaching, men or the Holy Spirit? Is Jesus telling us the Truth? If Jesus is telling us the
Truth, it would be wisdom for us to believe Jesus and do what Jesus said we should do.
After Jesus went to be with the Father in Acts 1:9, He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us those
things that Jesus could not teach while He was here on earth as the Son of God.
Every Christian should desire to enter into the Kingdom of God, and be taught by the Holy
Spirit. Truthfully, within a very short time after a person is truly born again they will receive the
desire in their heart to receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I know, for
it happened to me within a very short time after I was truly born again.
The Kingdom of God is here on earth today, preparing and empowering Christians to do the
work of the ministry, “by the anointing of the Holy Spirit within them.”
In Romans 14:17 it says, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” The first, and most important thing in the
Kingdom of God is “righteousness.” True righteousness brings “peace and joy.” True
righteousness, peace, and joy are in the Kingdom of God, which no man can experience without the
Holy Spirit working in their lives and teaching them the Truth from the Word of God.
If any born again Christian is not experiencing the “righteousness, peace, and joy of the
Kingdom of God” within them, it would be wisdom to search their heart as to why not? It could be
that they are not truly born again, but only saved. Anyone can be saved without being born again.
All throughout the Old Testament, people were saved, but not born again. The word saved means,
“deliver/delivered, protect/protected, preserve/preserved, heal/healing, made whole.” Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, King David, and multitudes of others including John the
Baptist were saved, but none of them were born again. They could not, and could not become, born
again until after Jesus became “the firstborn from the dead.”
Many people in the Old Testament were healed, and even operated in seven of the nine gifts
5
of the Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. But, none of them were born again. With many
people in the Old Testament the LORD tried to save them, but with some even the LORD could not
save them. Take for instance Cain, the firstborn son of Adam and Eve.
In Genesis 4:6,7, it says, “And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why
is thy countenance fallen?...If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not
well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” The
Devil was tempting Cain to sin against the LORD and kill Abel his brother. Cain listened to the
Devil and slew Abel his brother.
The LORD loves everyone born into this world, and will do all He can to get them saved
from the works of the Devil. But, God is love, and love never forces anyone to do anything against
their own will. We must be willing to obey the LORD and the Holy Spirit to be saved.
This is the same with born again. Jesus said in John 6:44, “No man can come to me, except
the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” The LORD
never forces anyone to become born again. God the Father draws people by His Holy Spirit to come
unto Jesus and become born again.
When the Holy Spirit draws us to receive Jesus Christ as LORD, we must decide if we will
receive Jesus as LORD, or not? We are the ones who make that decision in our lives. No one else
can make that decision for us. I know from experience. It happened to me when I was forty-five years
old.
I was told by others that I was born again “in infant baptism” when I was about eight days
old. Throughout my years I believed what others told me, but I was not truly born again. During
those years, I kept trying to please God by doing what I was told by the Pastors of the Churches I
belonged to. But, they never told me I needed to become born again. They kept telling everyone in
their Churches that they were born again in infant water baptism. There is no place in the Bible that
tells us that a person is born again by what someone else does or did.
To become born again, every individual person must receive Jesus Christ as LORD
personally, themselves. No one else can do it for them.
None of those in the Old Testament times were born again. They were saved, but not born
again. They could not become born again until after Jesus became “the firstborn from the dead.”
Once Jesus defeated the Devil and made an open show of all the evil spirits, it was declared by God
that what Jesus came to do was finished. Once Jesus finished what He came to do, He became the
King of the Kingdom of God, the beginning of a new creation of mankind, (born of the Spirit and
the Word of God). Jesus became the head of the body of Christ, which is the Church (Col. 1:18).
For those who were saved in the Old Testament times, 1 Peter 4:6 says, “For for this cause
was the gospel preached also to them that are dead (nekros), that they might be judged
according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.” The Greek word “nekros”
means, “a corpse; someone who died in the flesh and are no longer living in the flesh.”
In Revelation 1:18, Jesus told the Apostle John to write, “I am he that liveth, and was dead
(nekros); and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death
(thanatos).” Once Jesus defeated the Devil and took away the keys of hell and death from the Devil,
the gospel was preached to those who died in the flesh before Jesus died, that they could become
born again “of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit,” and live in the spirit the same as those who
are truly born again before they die in the flesh. This is what the Word of God tells us concerning
those of the Old Testament times.
But, for everyone born into this world and living after Jesus already paid the price and
defeated the Devil for us, we are told to believe the Word of God written in the New Testament and
receive Jesus Christ both, “as LORD and Savior” while we are still alive in the flesh. There is no
guarantee that anyone living today will become born again after they die physically on this earth. We
are told in the Word of God by Jesus Christ Himself, “Do not marvel that I said to you, You must
be born again” (John 3:7 NKJV).Anyone who thinks they can wait until they die and leave this
6
earth before they become born again could be listening to the wrong voice, which could be the voice
of the Devil.
When a person receives Jesus Christ as “LORD,” which means “Supreme in authority” in
their lives they become born again.
When a person receives Jesus Christ as “Savior” they become saved, which means,
“deliver/delivered, protect/protected, preserve/preserved, heal/healed, made whole.”
Many of those in the Old Testament times were saved, but they were not born again. A
person who is saved can operate in seven of the nine gifts of the Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians
7:-11. I know from my own experience, that before I was truly born again I received “a word of
knowledge” many times. I knew “before anything happened,” what was going to happen, and did
happen. I knew all the details of what was going to happen before it happened. Then I also received
“a word of wisdom,” so that I could do exactly what I received from my spirit. I knew exactly what
I should do and how to do it before anything happened. That was the gifts of a word of knowledge
and a word of wisdom operating in me from my spirit.
Yet, at forty-five years old, I also knew in my spirit that I was not truly born again. I was still
doing my own will of the flesh according to what I was taught by men, and it was not working for
me. I was depressed, and discouraged, over and over. The more I tried to do what others in the
ministry told me to do, the more depressed and discouraged I became.
I did not have peace in trying to do what others told me to do. When I could no longer
continue to live my life the way I was told by the Pastors of the Church denomination I belonged to,
I went down into my basement and prayed to the LORD. I said to the LORD, something like this:
“LORD JESUS, I cannot continue to live like I have been living all these years. LORD JESUS, You
come into my life and be my LORD, and I will do my best to follow You all the days of my life. I
receive You now as my LORD. Thank You Jesus, for receiving me. Amen.”
Almost immediately my thoughts changed. I could no longer think about the things of this
world the way I did for forty-five years. I tried to think of what I had planned on doing in my life,
but I could not concentrate on the things that meant so much to me before I prayed that prayer that
evening.
It took me a few days to understand what happened when I prayed that prayer. One of the first
things I noticed was that all I wanted to do was read and study the Bible, day and night. It was like
reading my Bible like I never read it before, even though I had read my Bible all the way from
Genesis through Revelation while I belonged to the different Churches and did whatsoever they told
me to do. I taught Sunday School and worked on Church councils, in different congregations. Yet,
I never understood what Jesus was telling us in the Gospels. It was like reading the Bible for the first
time.
Within a short time I wanted to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of
speaking in tongues just as those who were in the upper room on Pentecost day in Acts 2:4. The
desire was in my heart, and I did everything I knew to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with
the evidence of speaking in tongues.
When a person is truly born again of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, the desire to know
the Word and receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit comes “automatically,” from their new created
spirit within them. This is a work of God from within our spirit, not a work of men from within our
mind.
God works from our spirit to make us willing to do the will of God and no longer to do the
will of the flesh. In Philippians 2:13 it says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and
to do of his good pleasure.”
When a person is truly born again, “God within us,” draws us to the written Word of God to
teach us all things that pertain to God and our relationship and fellowship with God. That is the
evidence of becoming truly born again, not just saved.
If we do not experience God working in us “from our spirit,” then we may not be truly born
again, but only saved, just as those of the Old Testament were only saved, but not born again.
7
First, we must receive Jesus Christ “as LORD” into our lives before we can become truly
born again. Once we become truly born again, we must receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with
the evidence of speaking in tongues to have the power of God working in our lives to do the will of
God. We cannot do the will of God in our lives by our own power. It must be the Power of the Holy
Spirit working in our lives, doing the will of God through us.
That is the main difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament. That is the
main difference between “Born again and Saved.” It must be “God working in us to do His perfect
will” (Phil. 2:13). It all begins with the new birth in Christ Jesus.
If at anytime in our lives, we try to do our own will, we hinder God from doing His will in
our lives. Our will and God’s will for our lives are the opposite of each other. We cannot do our will,
and God’s will, at the same time. Until we put the Holy Spirit in control of everything we do, Satan
will still have a place in our lives, whereby he can bring sin, sickness, and disease upon us. Satan
will be in control of what we do, if we do not put the Holy Spirit in control everyday of our lives.
God never does anything against our will. We have the freedom to do our own will anytime
we want to. But, if we put our own will before God’s will, we will be walking after the flesh and not
after the Holy Spirit.
We cannot walk after the Spirit, unless we put the Holy Spirit in control of everything we do.
The Holy Spirit is God on this earth, and without the Holy Spirit we cannot do the will of God. The
will of God for everyone who is truly born again, is that we “walk after the Spirit and not after the
flesh.” Walking after the Spirit means “walking after the Holy Spirit, with the Holy Spirit in control
of what we do.” When we learn that simple truth, we will know the will of God for our lives.
Many born again Christians are still walking after the flesh. In 1 Corinthians 3:1-3, the
Apostle Paul wrote, “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto
carnal, even as unto babes in Christ...I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto
ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able...For ye are yet carnal: for whereas
there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” It
is easy to tell when a Spirit-filled Christian is walking after the flesh and not after the Holy Spirit.
Many of these are putting their trust in money to build their ministries using certain verses
of the Bible to prove that they have the right to ask others to give to them, so they can do the work
of the ministry. Anyone can take verses out of the Bible and make them say what they want them to
say. But that does not mean they are doing the will of God in their lives.
Money is a god to those who desire to receive money from others. In 1 Timothy 6:10 it tells
us, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Jesus said in
Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and
mammon.” Money can become a master, controlling everything a Spirit-filled Christian does. When
money is in control, the Holy Spirit is not in control.
Jesus never had any problems doing the will of God without asking anyone for money. You
will never see anyplace in the Gospels, where Jesus went about asking anyone for money to help him
do the will of God. God supplied all the money that Jesus needed by the free will offerings of many
people. Jesus did not ask for free will offerings, the Holy Spirit inspired certain individuals to give
toward the needs of Jesus and all of His disciples.
The Holy Spirit knows how to supply all our needs according to His power and ability to
operate in the lives of people. As we look at the Scriptures we will see this plain and clear, how that
Jesus will build His Church here on earth.
In Psalm 127:1, it says, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that
build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” In Zechariah 4:6
it says, “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
8
The above are Old Testament prophecies of how the LORD would build His Church in the
New Covenant. In Matthew 16:15-18, it says, “He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I
am?...And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living
God...And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and
blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven...And I say also unto
thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall
not prevail against it.”
In the New Covenant, the LORD will build His Church upon the confession that Jesus is
“...the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Christ means, “the anointed One.” The anointing is the
Holy Spirit, that worked through Jesus while He was walking on this earth as the Son of God and
the Son of Man. The anointing is the same Holy Spirit working through those who deny themselves
and are led by the Holy Spirit in everything they do. When the Holy Spirit is in control of everything
a Spirit-filled Christian does, then the LORD will use them to build His Church (which is the body
of Christ here on earth).
Those who believe they are building the LORD’s Church any other way, are deceived by the
enemy. There is only one way to do the work of the ministry, that is by following the leading of the
Holy Spirit in everything we do. We must be taught by the Holy Spirit, led by the Holy Spirit,
helped, and guided by the Holy Spirit in everything we do.
When Christians do their own will of the flesh, they hinder the Holy Spirit from doing the
will of God in their lives. There are many statements made in the New Testament that tell us what
the will of God is for Christians. In Galatians 5:16,17 it says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh...For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would (your own will).” In Galatians 5:25, it says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us
also walk in the Spirit.” In Galatians 6:7,8 it says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap...For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the
flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
It should be our will, and our desire, to do the will of God according to God’s will, not our
will.
