D. MOTIVATION

“ I have here different

pictures but my problem is
they were all jumbled into
different puzzle pieces” Yes ! teacher”
“can you help me these
pictures and fix my problem?

Ok!. ( the teacher will give

the students puzzle pieces
after completing the puzzle
piece they will post it on the The students will help the teacher
board.) reconnect the puzzle pieces to
form the picture.
“ Very good children you help me
to fix my problem.”

E. LESSON PROPER

Are you familiar with these

shapes?

The first picture? What is it?

Very good this is triangle.

“ Triangle has 3 sides lets

count . “

Next picture what is it?

triangle
Very good that is a square.

“ square has 4 equal sides.”

the students will count the sides.
how many sides?

Square
“Next is what you call
pentagon.
it is named pentagon
because it has 5 sides”.

(call a student to count the 4 equal sides

sides. )

How many sides?

This is pentagon.

( the teacher will do the

same procedure to the other The called student will count the
polygons) sides

ok! These shapes are called 5 very good

polygons.

what are they called?

VERY GOOD!

Polygons are a closed

figure formed by line
segments that meet only at
their end points.
Line segments are the sides POLYGONS!
and the points were the
sides meet are the vertices.
The angles formed by the
adjacent sides are the
angles of the polygon.

Understand ?.

F. ENHANCEMENT OF
ACTIVITIES

“Yes, teacher!”

“Inside this paper bag are the

polygons we have discussed
Now what you are going to do is to
pick only one polygon inside the
paper bag and describe the polygon
you have picked.”

G. GENERALIZATION The students will pick inside the

H. APPLICATION

“ Find or think of any objects

that are with the same shape
as the polygons we have
discussed today.”

The students will find and think of

an objects close to the polygons
they have learned.
