In this day and age, the quality of eating is taking an increasingly indispensable
and imperative part in our daily life. Recently, the number of people who take
eating as an important activity continues to grow. For the sake of helping more
people choose the high quality restaurants, I have tried a wide variety of
restaurants in Hong Kong in the past 3 months. Today, I will introduce one of
my favourite restaurants with you – Dim Sum One.
such a /such nouns
Dim Sum One is a restaurant which is very suitable for the families to gather at
weekends. I love it very much because of its food and services. All of the dim
sum like fish ball are delicious. I have never eaten such delicious dim sum in

Hong Kong. With the special sauces, their dim sum are different with other
restaurants in Hong Kong. I will never forget the taste of their dim sums.
Moreover, their service serves as another prime cause that I love them. Not
only are the waiters kind, but they will also give you some suggestions such as
the right way of eating their fish balls. It makes me feel so warm and I never
tried to experience the same service at other restaurants. Therefore, Dim Sum
One is a special restaurant for me. As a result, it is one of the best restaurants
for me in Hong Kong. Too crowded to.......
So crowded that.......
Every coin ahs two sides. Sim Sum One has the disadvantages as well. Their
environment is too crowded so that I cannot through the corridor with ease. For
instance, when I want to go to the toilet, I need to wait for the other eaters walk
the corridor first, and then I cross. Moreover, the toilets of Dim Sum One is a
little bit odor. I guess it is smelly because too many people use the toilets and
the cleaners cannot clean the toilet on time. Although their food and services

,
are good, it also has some weaknesses. That’s why Dim Sum One is not on the
top of my list. Therefore, the environment problem should and must address if
the restaurant want to be great. In time

A satisfying meal in Dim Sum One.

Stepping into Dim Sum One with my family on a Saturday morning, we were
amazed by the Chinese traditional decor around and the great vibe inside. We
quickly snagged a table and started our meals in the noisy yet exciting
ambiance.

We ordered four Dim Sum to share including Har Gow, Cha Siu Bao, Siu Mai
and my favourite Malay Sponge Cake. All of them were scrumptious but I like
Har Gow and Malay Sponge Cake the most. The Har Gow which had a whole
shrimp inside carried a fresh, flavorful taste. Also, they were chewy on the
outside and juicy on the inside. Dipped them in some soy sauce, everything just
worked together beautifully and impeccably. Another must-eat dish — the
extremely fluffy Malay Sponge Cake, was served with a sweet fragrance that
my brother had grabbed one immediately after the dish had arrived. The texture
of the cake was quite soft and more towards airy type. Although the cake was a
little bit too sweet to me, I would say the overall aroma was pretty nice and I
would surely encore it next time!

Apart from the food, the waiters there were very attentive. Not only did they
greet us enthusiastically with a big smile, but they also called us to enjoy our
food when they served us. However, the food serving was really slow that we
had waited almost 35 minutes for all the dishes to arrive. The waiter had
apologized sincerely for the low efficiency after that so that was fine. Despite
the efficiency problem, the overall service was not bad.

With a thrilling atmosphere, Dim Sum One was perfect for groups of friends or
families. With such high-quality food and service provided, the price was also
acceptable and understandable. Recalling the fantastic food, I will definitely be
backed!

Situated in Tsim Sha Tsui, Dim Sum One is a Chinese restaurant renowned for the
astonishing food quality. Honestly, I would not have this precious chance to enjoy my
lunch in Dim Sum One if I were not invited by Food & Drink to write a food review. It is
not exaggerating nor exalted that the quality of traditional dim sum there really blew
me away. From siu mai to shrimp dumplings, from steam rice rolls to spring rolls, all of
more
which are common but impressive. However, its price is far expensive than I expected.
Still, it is worth to come and have a try. But remember to reserve a table in advance.
Walk-in is not allowed. scent

Blocks of dim sum put on the lazy susan turntable, jade shrimp dumplings are my
favorite among all others, though. With delicious odor emanating from the steamer
basket, it made me mouth’s water. With crystal skin, I could clearly see the dumplings
filled with shrimp and asparagus. With dumplings as big as a diamond ring, I could
taste firm, but tender shrimps filled my mouth. This jade shrimp dumplings, beyond
doubt are perfectly cooked and seasoned, leaving me pleasant aftertaste. Indeed,
making a basket of shrimp dumplings is not a difficult task for any dim sum chef.
However, making a dish that looks great, smells better and taste the best is harder than
everyone thought. To date, not many Chinese restaurants can do it, but Dim Sum One.
Outstanding and world-class food quality fills all empty seats at Dim Sum One while
high food price may scare the customers away. For example, a basket of barbeque pork
bun costs $75 in Dim Sum One. Compared with Good Hope Chinese restaurant where
is less famous, its price is set three times cheaper than Dim Sum One. Doubtless, Dim
Sum One deserves a more expensive price because of its professional and remarkable
food quality and cozy ambience. However, how many people are willing to pay for
almost hundred dollars for a basket of buns? Frankly speaking, I was rather shocked by
the unbelievable prices listed on the grand and well-designed menu. Dim Sum One
offered me not only the most flavorsome shrimp dumplings, but also the priciest one
throughout my life so far.
Perhaps many of you want to close this review after knowing the costly price, don’t
you? Yes, these dim sums are expensive. Yes, it is not worth to pay hundreds of dollars
for a lunch. Yet Dim Sum One offers us the most tasty and appetizing dim sums in Hong
Kong. Hardly can we taste incredible dim sum dishes anywhere else in Hong Kong, can’t
we? Please bear in mind that this price pays not only for a Chinese dish, but also for
an extraordinary and exceptional dining experience. Don’t hesitate, reserve a table for
tonight now.

Hello everyone! Long time no see! This time I took my family to a prominent eatery
called Dim Sum One which is popular on the Internet recently. Dim Sum One, a
Chinese restaurant, owned by the Chan's family and located next to the Tsim Sha Tsui
station. Undoubtedly, I was surprised and shocked when I heard it was built in the
1960s.Because of its past and praises, my expectancy has put the sky high level.

ˋ
Without any disappointment, the food and decor have definitely stunned my senses,
however, the waiting time is unbelievably long. Compliments > better

The food expectation is exceeded! The cuisines are delectable and delicious which
made me feel like I was in heaven. There are different and diverse dim sums, from
spring rolls to rice noodle rolls, from wheat dumplings to taro dumplings, from
xiaolongbao to cha siu bao. Most of them are yummy as if the flavours are dancing
on your tongue, and there are my two favourites I would like to introduce to you
which are siu mai and shrimp dumplings. The siu mai is gastronomic with the juicy
meat sauce and its taste flawlessly matched with the hot tea. The shrimp dumplings
are also scrumptious as the shrimps are chewy and fresh.

In no way can I forget its dazzling decor. They decorated the restaurant with a lot of
wood which follows the traditional Chinese design. The environment is spacious
which placed numerous wood tables with carvings and all of them were seated when
I got there with my family. Not only do there are wood carvings tables, but also some
graceful antiques and gorgeous calligraphy and paintings. The place is picturesque
with lots of Chinese art as if you are eating in the Imperial Palaces.

Nevertheless, the waiting time was very long. Guess how long we took for the table.
We almost waited for an hour. Amid the packed queue outside the eatery, the aroma
of those dim sums kept blowing next to us and torturing our stomach so we had to
wait with our mouths watering. It was horrible that I was queuing with my empty
stomach. Noted that there was no fan for us so we standed under the sun with
sweats dropping. Under the torment of the food and waiting, my mum nearly fainted
away. Fortunately, the table was ready after a few minutes of my mum’s dizziness.

Overall, Dim Sum One is worth visiting and eating which I would go there next week
again with my friends. Last but not least, I would recommend families to visit there
since it costs a reasonable fee and serves well with delectable dim sums.
Nonetheless, remember to make a reservation before going there unless you don’t
mind standing outside for 1 hour.

Today, yum cha culture has been creeping into our daily lives in Hong Kong. Thus, it
is common to see people yum cha in large groups for family gatherings and
celebrations. For the sake of helping dim sum lovers encounter the barriers of
choosing a good restaurant, let me introduce this restaurant to you. With its pleasant
views, cozy dining room, and well-trained staff, Dim Sum One is surely ticking the
right boxes. As it is a Michelin-recommended restaurant, tables at Dim Sum One are
harder to get than Eason Chan tickets. Thankfully, I got the chance to enjoy a meal at
Dim Sum One Last Sunday.
From a quiet hum of conversation to discreet service, from mind-clearing views to a
calm red and gold setting, the environment there is right for dining. This is a place for
dining, not just to eat. Waiting for a while outside the restaurant, soon after, the
waiters lead me to the reserved seat. The menu there is straightforward and with
appetizing photos. Once we ordered, the food appeared very quickly. The first dish to
arrive was the fried dough rice noodle roll ($23), and it was more than delicious.
Growing up, this has always been one of my comfort foods, and Dim Sum One does
an amazing job at keeping this one simple yet tasty. For the first-timer, try their
xiaolongbao! It was a mouthwatering delight that made me go on to order baskets
after baskets of the Shanghainese xiao long bao ($32). My eyes lit up as the little
parcel tore apart to release a wave of warm, umami pork soup. To finish the meal, we
plump for the steamed cha shao bao ($18) with the best bun-to-filling ratio. The flavor
of the filling is syrupy and scrumptious. However, one of the small regrets is that the
dough is a bit dry – nonetheless, it is a small price to pay, though, for bao that only
costs around HK$6 each. Not only can we get some old-school yum cha vibes at this
restaurant, but~ enjoy a unique eating experience.

No matter how tasty the menu is, bad experiences with your customer service will
drive away potential customers. Yes, good customer service is a critical and crucial
key to a restaurant. Stepping into this restaurant, I can feel the waiter’s genuine
interest in customers through their smiley face and their vigorous greeting.
Additionally, they are also taking good care of customers' needs in an appropriate
time frame and serving the food in a timely and accurate manner. Although it is a
busy hour, waiters refilled my tea bottle without any request. This initiative and heart-
warming action make a good dining experience turn sweet.
It is situated in Wanchai, a bit far from Wan Chai Station. Only by taking a 30 mins
walk can we get there. On one hand, it provides a quiet and comfortable eating
environment. On the other hand, you will lose the mood for eating after you walk for
a long distance in the radiant heat of summer. Weighing up the pros and cons , this
restaurant is highly-recommended. If you are also an avid fan of dim sum like me,
Dim Sum One should definitely be next on your hit list. Please be noted that
reservation for seats is a must before going to the restaurant. Walk-in is not allowed.
Let’s venture out and dine at this brilliant restaurant!
