    Welcome students from NBH1C.  The first lesson is about Ms. WIndows 10 operating systems

    An Operating System (OS) is an interface between a computer user and computer hardware. It
    is a computer program (set of computer instructions) that coordinates all the activities of
    computer hardware such as memory, storage devices, and printers, and provides the capability
    for you to communicate with the computer. It allows a user to run other applications on a
    computer device

    Five of the most common operating systems are :

    Microsoft Windows.
    Apple iOS.
    Google's Android OS.
    Apple macOS.
    Linux Operating System.

    The most popular OS  for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) are Apple's iOS and


    Google's Android.

    Microsoft Windows (also referred to as Windows or Win) is a graphical operating system


    developed and published by Microsoft. It provides a way to store files, run software, play
    games, watch videos, and connect to the Internet.

    The key five basic functions of any windows are as following:

    The interface between the user and the hardware.


    Coordinate hardware component.
    Provide an environment for software to function.
    Provide structure for data management.
    Monitor system health and functionality.

    Kindly read the notes below.  The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more
    you learn, the more places you will go. 

    Below is a diagram of MS Windows 10 and which is the latest OS version from Microsoft and
    officially released in 2015.

    Once you get to the Windows Desktop screen, here are some basic features you will see.

    Among the features user can used are:

    Create folders
    Save files
    Change screen resolution
    Manage files
    Use MS Office
    Use Microsoft Office Help and Windows Help•File and folder management
    Switch between apps
    many and many more 

    Most of the features ,you already know about it and have used them. However, if there are
    unfamiliar features, MS WIndows provides online help. And most students will’google’ to find
    out the instruction (features) they want to know.
