CALL TO WORSHIP:
(Part of Worship Leader)
Leader: Welcome, beloved community, to this time of worship.
Let us join together in prayer as we prepare to enter into the
presence of the Holy One.
All: Gracious God, we come before you with grateful hearts, for
your steadfast love endure forever.
Leader: As we gather here today, let us lay aside all that would
distract us from your presence, and focus our hearts and minds
on you.
All: Help us to quiet our minds and open our hearts, so that we
may be fully present to you and to one another.
Leader: Let us remember that we are not alone on this journey
of faith, but are part of a great cloud of witnesses, stretching
back through the ages.
All: We give thanks for those who have gone before us, and for
the faith that has sustained them. May we, too, be faithful in our
own time and place.
Leader: Let us take a moment to confess our sins and ask for
God's forgiveness.
All: Merciful God, we confess that we have not always lived as
faithful disciples. We have allowed fear and doubt to lead us
astray, and we have failed to love as you have called us to love.
Forgive us, we pray, and help us to walk in your ways.
Leader: Hear the good news: God is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
All: Thanks be to God!
Leader: Let us now enter into this time of worship with open
hearts and minds, ready to receive all that God has for us.
All: Amen.

Reflection
When you hear the phrase “servant leadership,” what or who
comes to mind? Have you ever experienced this kind of
leadership from one of your leaders?
Prayer
Dear Lord, I am challenged by your vision of servant leadership.
This sort of thing doesn't come naturally to me. Lord, transform
my thinking and my attitudes. Help me to see the needs of my
coworkers and reach out to care for them.
INSTALLATION CEREMONY
Presentation of the new dean of Academic Affairs and dean
of Student Affairs with video presentations
Minister: One of the primary tasks of Asian Theological
Seminary is to educate called servant leaders through her vision
and mission: to equip competent servant-leaders for the
transformation of church and society by providing quality and
holistic transformational education. Mentoring mission-oriented
servant-leaders and innovating Christian educational services for
generational impact. This institution of learning has been
established in order to fulfil this task. For the administration of
the work of this school and for the orderly conduct of its affairs,
ATS has deemed it necessary to appoint through the president
certain individuals for the performance of special tasks and
functions, which is the dean of academic affair.
To the office of academic affairs, Ptr. Zau you has been
appointed to the ministry for ensuing term.
As we consecrate him in his office, let us seek God's blessings
upon him for his tasks.
Minister: Ptr. Zau , you have been called to administer the life
and work of Asian Theological Seminary(may add more
statements). Do you accept the office to which you have been
appointed?
Appointed: I DO.
Minister: Do you promise, the Lord Jesus Christ being your
helper, to faithfully fulfil your duties and responsibilities?
Appointed: I DO.
Minister: Addressing the whole school community. Do you
gladly receive Pastor Zau as your academic dean for the ensuing
term?
Congregation: WE DO.
Minister: Will you pledge your eager support to the work and
mission of ATS under the leadership of your new dean for
academic affairs?
Congregation: BY GOD'S GRACE, WE WILL.
PRESENTATION OF THE SYMBOLS
Minister: We, now, through the use of symbols express the
length and height and depth of the new deans calling and tasks.
The Vestment: The academic gown symbolizes God and
embracing presence — a companionship that empowers,
sustains, and transforms. Where the presence of God is
proclaimed and experienced there is change in the self, in the
school, in the church, and in society as well.
The Cap and Academic Collar: These cap and academic collar
symbolize wisdom and knowledge. The Book of Proverbs says,
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Prov. 1:7)
The Mace: The mace is a symbol of authority. It reminds us of
what Jesus said to his disciples, "If one of you wants to be great,
you must be the servant of the rest; and if one of you wants to be
first, you must be the slave of all." (Mark 10:4 3).
The Bible: The Scripture says, No one live by bread alone, but
needs every word that God speaks" (Matt. 4:4). An administrator
of a church-related institution must be guided by the Word of
God, the Bible, and the word of people, by mouth or texts.
The Torch: This torch symbolizes light. Jesus our Savior said,
You are light of the world... let your light shine before people,
so that they will see the good things you do and praise your God
in heaven' (Matt. 5:14-16).
The Staff : This staff symbolizes the leading and guiding
presence of God as a shepherd. The Psalmist says, “Even though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fearno evil;
for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me"
(Psalm 23:4).
LITANY OF LEADERSHIP
WL: In the presence of God and this academic community, we
install Ptr. Vaus as the Dean of Academic Affairs. Will you, as
members of this community, affirm your commitment to support
and follow him in his leadership role?
All: We will.
WL : Will you, Ptr. Vaus, commit yourself to the
responsibilities of this office, to uphold the mission of this
institution, and to lead with integrity and wisdom?
Ptr. Vaus: I will.
WL : Let us pray for our new dean, that they may be filled with
the gifts of the Holy Spirit as they take on this important role.
All: Creator God, we ask for your blessings on our new dean.
May they be filled with wisdom, courage, and compassion as
they guide us in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
Grant him the insight and discernment needed to make wise
decisions, and help him to lead with humility and grace.
WL : Let us pray for the faculty and staff, that they may be
supported and encouraged in their work.
All: Holy One, we ask that you bless the faculty and staff who
work alongside our new dean. May they be inspired and guided
in their work, and may they find joy and fulfillment in their
service to this institution.
WL: Let us pray for the students, that they may be blessed with
a love of learning and a spirit of curiosity and exploration.
All: God of Wisdom, we ask that you bless the students who
will be under the care of our new dean. May they be nurtured
and guided in their intellectual and personal growth, and may
they be inspired to use their knowledge for the betterment of our
world.
