Band Requirements
• speak fluently, without effort
• repeat or correct yourself less

• only pause to think about what you want to say and do not spend time
finding words or grammar

• speak at length without noticeable effort

HOW TO CORRECT YOURSELF IN A NATURAL WAY :

Correct the word

I mean

I don’t like watching serials, I mean, series or soap operas.

Or rather
I didn’t buy, or rather, I haven’t bought anything online yet.

Correct the meaning

What I meant to say was/What I mean is


I can’t go to the gym. What I mean is, I don’t have time at the moment.

Let me put it another way


Parents must control their children. Let me put it another way, they should check
how their kids use their smartphones.
