Stay up
1. Do you sometimes go to bed very late?
Yes. Although it is a bad habit I have to say I always stay up late. Because in the
daytime I have to focus on my work and I have no time to check my own business. So
in the evening I like to check my social media or play gems on my iPad. I like to
texting my friends too since they are night owls like me. Sometimes I don’t go to
sleep until midnight.

2. Did you stay up late when you were a kid?

No actually I always went to bed on time when I was a child. Because my parents
were really strict about my bedtime. And in the past I didn’t have the mobile phone
and the computer in my home was disconnected with the internet. So I have nothing
to do except sleeping in the evening.

3. What do you like to do when you stay up late?

When I stay up late now I usually check the Social media like WeChat and Weibo. I
quite like to follow my friends to check what they post recently. Through the images
and videos they post I can learn about what did they do recently. Sometimes I use the
night time to Study. Because in the evening it is quite and I can fully concentrate.

4. After a late night, how do you feel the next morning?

Well in most of time if I have to get up early for work I will feel tired during the day.
And I will use my lunch break to have a snap. But luckily my current job has a
flexible working schedule, so I don’t need to get up that early. So for me staying up
late just has limited bad influence.

Music
1. What kind of music do you enjoy?
For me I really enjoy the pop music. My favorite pop music star is jay choo. The
songs he created have catchy Melodie’s and the lyrics are beautiful too. Sometimes he
put Chinese poems into his song that was really brilliant. Plus, pop is usually upbeat
and fun. Whenever I go to the karaoke withy my friends I always sing a pop song.
And most of them are jay choo,s songs.
2. Is there any kind of music that you didn’t enjoy very much?
I really don’t like heavy metal. Whenever I hear it I just want to turn it off. Because is
to noisy I can’t appreciate them. I think the singer is basically just yelling at you.
That’s not my type.

3. Are there any musicians you would like to see in a live concert?
I would really like to see jay choo in person. He is an amazing performer. He can play
guitar, piano and other instruments. He also seems like a very kind person. It would
be cool if I can see him sing live.

4. Have you always listened to the same music where you live?
No. Ever since I have known my friends they have all liked Chinese songs. I don’t
often listen to Chinese songs except jay choos. I prefer pop and country music in
different language. I often listen to music form America,Korea, or Brazil.

5. Do you often listen to one type of music?

Yeah. I pretty much just listen to pop and country music. I love to turn the volume up
and sing along. Sometimes I tried to embrace other kinds of music but I still think pop
and country is my favorite.

6. What’s the most popular type pf music where you live?

I think pop is the most popular type of music. I mean , pop literally stands for popular.
And many famous music stars they made a lot of pop music. Some fans like the pop
music because they like the person who sing it. So that make sense People also like
the simple lyrics and catchy melodies.

Yeah, actually I do. I am living in a huge community with a lot of shops nearby.
There are restaurants, supermarkets, tailor shops, cafes and etc. I think they make a
living by these small businesses. And sometimes it is really convenient for me to buy
something.

2. Do you prefer to buy things from a large company or small business?

Well I think is highly depends. For some important thing or highly expensive thing I
might to choose the big companies. Because the good after sale services of big
companies can help me to reduce the risk. If the products have some issues I can
contact them and solve it together. If I want to buy something like salt, snacks , I will
just go to the small business near my home.

3. Have you ever worked for a small business?

Well to be honest I have to say no. I always buy things from some small business but
working in one small business it never happened. Because I just graduated form my
university and I have a job in a big company. Having another job in small business is
too stressful for me.

4. Would you like to start your own small business one day?
For me the answer is no. I think to start a small business is also quite difficult. You
need to have some talent in particular aspect. And I think I don’t have the ability. Just
think about having my own business is really stressing me out. My dream is to
become a good staff in some famous companies like bytedance or Alibaba.

Outer space and stars

1. Have you ever learnt anything about space and stars when you were at school?
Yes of course. I leaned something about other planets beside our living earth. I
began to learn some real knowledge about spaces and stars since my high school.
The geography lesson teaches me about the sun, the black hole, the galaxy and etc. I
was fascinated by these mysterious things since then, and I began to watch a lot of
movies and books about it such as the interstellar, the Martian.

2. Do you enjoy watching science-fiction films/movies set in space?

Yes, I think I am a big fan of science fiction movies. I always interested in if there is
another planet suit for living beside our earth. So, among them my favorite one is
interstellar. It is not only about the space dream but also propose some ideas how
human beings can survive from the vulnerable environment. And it encourages us to
be brave and to have the spirit to explore unknown things.

3. Would you like to find out more about space and stars?
Of course, I’d love to learn more about outer space. I think all of the things lying in
the universe are mysterious and interesting. To know how the universe was created is
meaningful because we need to know how it comes and comprises we can then
protect it or make use of it. And nowadays the overuse of the natural resources also
leads us to find solutions in outer space.

4. Do you want to go into outer space in the future?

Definitely yes. I would say that it has been my dream to explore something unknown
in outer space. And I've also heard that lady Gaga have actually signed up to go into
the lower regions of space in space crafts and she said she will have wedding on mars.
Although the current technology is not mature, I hope someday my dream can come
true and people can colonize space to survive.

Jewelry

1. Do you often wear jewelry?

To be honest I really like jewelry but I seldom wear them. Firstly because they are
expensive and I don’t have many jewelries. And I am sort of clumsy and forgetful I
think I will lost my jewelry one day so I just cut down the times I wear them. But in
2023 the year of rabbit I will wear a gold jewelry shaped like rabbit. Because this year
is important for me and I trust the god of rabbit will protect me.

2. What type of jewelry do you like to buy?

For me I like the jade and the diamond Best . The last word of my Chinese name is
“qi” and it means beautiful jade in Chinese. As a traditional Jewelry in china the jade
represents the beauty and pure. They are both good qualities in china. And the
diamond is really sparkling, like a star. And the diamond wedding rings put the
wonderful relationship I may have in my mind. So I love both jade and diamond.

3. Do you usually buy jewelry?

For now, I don’t buy jewelry frequently . Because most of the jewelry are expensive
and luxury so they are beyond my budget. Usually, I can’t afford to buy them. That’s
the main reason And in some important days however ,like spring festival or my
grandparents’ birthday I will buy some gold jewelries . It is the thought that counts.

4. Why do you think some people keep a piece of jewelry for a long time?
I think in most cases people wear a piece of jewelry for a long time because they
really like it. Wearing it makes you look more attractive or elegant. And sometimes
something precious behind the jewelry. Like some important person give the jewelry
to you and the jewelry then become a symbol of a wonderful moment or a good
relationship.

Weekends

1. Is the weekend your favorite part of the week?

Yes of course. Why not! I love it l like the weekends best. Because I can finally have
a good sleep after 5 hard days and ignore the annoying clock. The weekend is kind of
a way to help me to relax and release all of my stress. I have enough time to do my
own things like watching a movie, having a dinner in the fancy restaurant and so on.
So it is basically impossible for me to hate the weekend.

2. What do you usually do on weekends?

I usually choose to do something I like and relaxed in the weekends. That means I
will neither study or work. For me these two things is really stressful. I often go to
the art gallery to appreciate some paintings or go shopping with my best friends.
Sometimes I will bake some cookies or make myself and my mom a wonderful
dinner.

3. What did you do last weekend?

Last weekend I visited an art gallery near the bund which displayed the works of
Monet. By appreciating these masterpieces I really expanded my horizons and
improved my taste. What’s more I made a new friend there and she shares the same
interests and thoughts with me. After visiting the art gallery we had lunch together
and she even promised me she would help me to finish my painting. It is a Chinese
traditional painting I just begin to do.

4. Do you prefer to plan how to spend your weekends?

Er well it depends. If I will do something with other people, like having a party with
my friends, watching a movie with my mom in the cinema and anything involved
more than one person I will make a plan. I like everything under my control. But if I
just need to stay at home and have a rest l won’t make any plans.
T-shirt

1. Do you think T-shirt is a good souvenir from a holiday/vacation?

Yes, why not. When you go to some tropical places like Thailand, hainan island or
other islands I think souvenir t shirt is the best idea. When I dress them I feel like I am
a native. Because most local residents wear this kind of T-shirts. And buying t shirt as
a gift to my friend it won’t take up much space of my suitcase. So I like buying them.

2. Do you like wearing t-shirts?

Yes I do. I really like wearing t shirts. Because it is so comfortable and I feel cozy
when I wear them. It is also convenient because you can wear it in almost every
situation. When I take a walk with my parents , I just grab a t shirt , when I need to go
to the library, I grab a t shirt, when I need go shopping I grab a t shirt too. So for me
in the warm days the t shirt is always my number one choice.

3. How often do you do you wear T-shirts?

It depends on the weather. In summer I always wear a t shirt. I almost wear them 6
times a week. I wear them to do the sports , I wear them to go shopping and I also
wear them to sleep. However if in the autumn and winter. It is too cold to just wear
a t shirt. Sometimes I wear a t shirt under my hoodies but most time I just wear
sweaters and hoodies. So in clod days I just wear t shirt once a week maybe.

4. Do you like T-shirts which have pictures on them?

Yes absolutely. I think it is exactly the picture and print on it to make the t shirt
special and beautify. I will always buy a t shirt for the wonderful pictures on it. I can
show my attitude and hobbies through different printed t shirts. For example, if I wear
a t shirt with dog or cat it indicates that I am a pet person. So maybe it will help me to
make friends.

5. Do you think older people are fashionable when they wear T-shirts?
Wow that’s a tough question. I think we can’t judge a person fashionable or not by
what kind of t shirts he wears. If we have to, I think it all depends what t shirt you
wear. If an older people just wear a basic white or black t shirt Without any pictures
on it , I think he or she cannot be so called fashionable. But if they wear some t shirts
with pictures like rock n roll band or the latest slogan , In my opinion they are
fashionable.

Keys

1. Do you usually carry a lot of keys with you?

Wow for me the answer is no now. I used to have the habit of bringing keys with me
but recently I don’t bring them with me. Because With the development of science
and technology the way of unlocking door has changed. I use fingerprints ,passwords
and chips to enter my home. So there is no need for me to bring keys with me. And it
is a kind of relief for me I always forgot to bring kings before.

2. Have you ever lost your keys?

Let me think about it. Emm Yes it did happen before. Around 2 years ago when I
studied in my university I lost the key of our dormitory. I think l lost it because I ran
too fast to catch a class. And the key just fell out of my pocket. In the end I attended
that class on time but I paid 50 yuans to buy my myself a new key.

3. Do you often forget to take keys with you when you go out?
For me the answer is definitely yes. Before my family change the lock and use
fingerprints and chips to enter our home, we still rely on physical keys to unlock the
doors. I remember that I forgot to bring my keys several times and no one was at
home. The longest time I have waited for my parents to rescue me was about 3 hours.
Oh that day I had an early release about 2 hours from my school and I didn’t get into
home until my parents got off work on 17:30.

4. Do you think it is a good idea to leave a key to your home with a neighbor?
Wow I don’t think it is a good idea. Because nowadays in Shanghai the phase of life
is so fast , our neighbors always move in and move out in a short time. So it is far
away from building trust with them. I don’t want to leave my home keys with
somebody I am not familiar with. That may become a safety issue.
Happy things

1. Do you do something to make you happy recently?

Yes of course. I visited an art gallery near the bund recently. It displayed the works of
Monet. By appreciating these masterpieces, I really expanded my horizons and
improved my taste. What’s more I made some new friends who share the same
interests and thoughts with me there. That means I can kill time and finish my art
works with them now.

2. What things made you happy when you were a child?

Well, I think there were a range of things. When I was little, I was easy to satisfied.
An ice cream , a hug, a beautiful dress , all of them can make me feel happy. But the
first thing pop to my mind now is the visit to Hong Kong. It was the summer holiday
of my second grade year and I earned this trip by coming first in the final exam. It
was the first time I took a plane and went to Disneyland. Meeting the princess there
was really a wonderful experience.

3. What do you think will bring you happiness in the future?

Well, it was really hard to say what in the future can make me feel happy. I think for
now maybe finding a satisfying job. A good job can help me to put what I learn into
practices and help me to earn money. As long as I have money I can travel to the
places I always want to go. I also can have beautiful dresses, jewelries and even
appreciation form all my relatives. Wow just thinking of it I can’t help to laugh now!

4. What makes you feel happy at work/in your studies now?

Well to be honest I don’t enjoy working at all. But if I have to name one that must be

the moment that I accomplish my task successfully. That means i didn’t make

mistakes and my boss would recognize my efforts. And I will finally have enough
time to relax and do the things I like, such as going to the karaoke, watching a movie,
having a snap without pressure and etc.

5. Do you feel happy when you buy something new?

I might feel happy for a short time. Because receiving a thing you always want will
make you feel satisfied. And in some cases the new thing will be useful in my daily
life. But the happiness won’t last long. Because I always buy new things and I
become used to that feeling.

6. Do you think people will feel happy when they buy new things? Why?
I think in most situations people are happy when they having new things. Sometimes
buying new staff means you can get rid of the old one. And the new things like
computers, mobile phones , dresses in latest fashion will always be more practical and
make you feel great. They will give you a sense of achievement.

Library

1. Do you often go to the library?

Yes, I often go to library. The environment in the library is very quiet so that I can do
my own staff in great efficiency. It makes me feel very productive and fully
consternate on the task I need to finish. Before I have some exams or researches I
always go to the library to find some information. The modern library has all kinds of
materials, such as newspaper, magazines, online data base. So, the library really helps
me a lot.

2. What do you do in a library?

During my spare time I usually read books in the library. Because it is quite in it and I
can have access to almost every book I want to read. The physical books are really
expensive nowadays so it helps me to save the money too. When I study in my
university I always go to the library to review and memorize my text books before
having an exam. I also go there to find information related to the presentation I need
to finish. It turns out that the library never turns me down.

3. Did you use a library more when you were younger?

For me I seldom went to the library when I was around 5 to 6 years old. One reason is
that my home is far away from a library in that time. I had to take 2 or 3 i guess
different buses to go there. And actually I am not the type of girl who enjoy reading
when I was young. Instead, I preferred to watch television and play with my friends
in the park.
4. How common is it for children to visit libraries?
I think that highly depends. For the Chinese kids who live in the cities they can go to
the library in a much easier way. So when they want to read the books they will go to
the library more often than those who live in the rural areas. And for the kids who
enjoy outdoor activities I believe they will not often go to the library. However, the
kids who are fans of reading books will go there much more frequently.

Art

1. Do you like art?

yes, I think i can be called a fan of art. i like many art forms and my favorite is

watercolor ,traditional Chinese painting and etc. now i grow up ,i still have a
habit of drawing pictures,it is my way to relax myself and express my feelings.

2. Do you like visiting art galleries?

The answer is definitely yes. Now i live in Shanghai so that means I have access to
different types of art galleries. Last year I visit an art gallery near the bund which
displayed the works of Monet. By appreciating these masterpieces, I really
expanded my horizons and improved my taste. What’s more I Can make some friends
who share the same interests and thoughts with me. We can kill time and finish art
works together.

3. Do you think you would like to be an artist?

During my twenties, I must say no. If you ask me the same question when I was 10
years old, I probably said yes. What makes me change my mind. I think the first
reason is that I become more realistic. Becoming an artist not only requires
enthusiasm but also need talent. I may have an interest towards art but my ability is
far away from enough to support me become an real artist. The second reason is that I
am lack of creativity which is a key factor every artist should have. So that I don’t
want to be an artist.
4. Do you prefer modern or traditional art?
For me I will say that I still prefer traditional art than modern art. Because modern art
has too much forms and most of time, I cannot understand the meaning behind the
work. I visited the museum of contemporary art in Shanghai three times and every
time I went there, I left with confusion. However, understanding the traditional art is
much easier for me. A lot of experts had already take a global approach to these art
works and I can absorb their good points to help me to understand more about the
traditional art.

in the living room too.

Well, I don't know if I will be moving anytime soon. I've been living in this apartment
for over 20 years. It's a comfortable place. And the apartment price in Shanghai is

I heard the city plans to extend a subway line 20 to the street next to my home. I hope
it's true.

14. What things make your home pleasant to live in?

My house is faced to south and it has lots of big windows so there is a lot of natural
light. I think that is the one of the best features. Plus, there a lot of flowers in the
garden near my home , the smell and view is really nice.

15. What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have
lived in the past?
I have never moved. So, I don’t know how to compare.

16. Do you think it is important to live in a comfortable environment?

Yes, it is. Your mental health is impacted by your surroundings. To have a positive
mindset, you should live somewhere comfortably. It improves your quality of life.

17. Do you know any famous people in the area you live in?
No, I don't know any famous people who live near me. It would be so cool to live
near a celebrity. But I don't think there are any around me. I'11 have to look for one. I

would definitely love to hang out with a celebrity.

18. What are some changes in the area recently?
Well...over the past 2 decades*, there have been lots of high-rise buildings built in my
neighborhood. the road in the front of our housing estate was expanded. Besides, a
park was built about 3 years ago near my home. Me and my parents always take a
walk there.

Hometown
1. Where are you from?
My home town is Shanghai. I have lived here for about 24 years. I really love this

lights, Modern buildings and straight plane trees. Plus, people here are very warm and
friendly.

2. Do you like your hometown?

There is no doubt that I really love Shanghai my hometown. It is a city full of magic
and romance. Life pace in Shanghai is really fast so it motivates me to learn new
things so that I can keep up with the city life. I can not only experience Chinese
culture here but also keep in touch with the world. Because a lot of foreigners live in
Shanghai too, they brought their culture and customs here and share with us.

3. Can you tell some of the history of your home town?

Shanghai use to be a small village. People live here make a living on fishing. In the
last century maybe, during that famous war , people from different countries brought
their culture here and build the bund. And with the effort of Chinese people and the
president dengxiao ping. The economy and industry of Shanghai was developed.

4. What is your home town famous for?

My hometown is famous for the bund and the oriental tv tower. Tons of tourists go
there for visiting and taking pictures. A lot of people post good reviews of the
beautiful sceneries on the internet.

5. How long have you been living in your hometown? / Do you think you will
continue living there for a long time?
I've been living in my hometown since I was born. Honestly, I've never thought about
leaving my hometown because all my friends and family members are there, and life
here is really interesting. You can always find new things here.

6. Is that a big city or small place?

My hometown is a major city in China. Although it is not pretty big from the
geography side but population here is large.so the urban area is always crowed with
people and people love crowed Shanghai Because it is full of opportunities.

7. Do you like the city you are living in now?

Yeah, I really love it. But now I can't imagine living anywhere else in china.
There are always cool things happening here. For example, a lot of singers come to
our city for their concerts. It's really exciting. And there is always a lunch for a new
brand and new stores.

8. Is there anything that you dislike about your hometown?

Yes, I suppose so. Sometimes, the buses are really crowed and the traffic jam is
serious. So as a commuter, I get frustrated having to wait for long periods of time. I
just want to get to places on time. But public transportation doesn't always make that
easy.

Work
I used to work full time as a assistant at TMF. And my department is global entity
management. I have been working there for 1 year. But recently I just quit my job to
prepare ielts.

Yeah. For me I think my company is a good place to work. It is really supportive of

its employees. You can take time off for issues with your personal life plan as well as
physical health. Plus, there are great benefits.

No. For most parts of my job I think it doesn’t need to make changes. I like the way
things are. We got a flexible work schedule and it is easy for me to get vacation time.
And the working atmosphere in our office is really nice.
Yes, sometimes I feel that way. I work really hard at my job, but sometimes it feels
like I'm still behind! So, I just have to try my best. It can be very stressful.
When I finish my work I like to cycle along a park and have some desserts. I get
stressed if I continue working for several hours in peaking seasons. Riding a bicycle
helps me relieve from pressure of my job. I always feel better after.

Well to be honest, I haven’t always wanted to do this kind of job. When I was little I
wanted to be an inventor to create unique things. Now I have a more realistic job. It
is not what I expected but it really suits me. So, I really like it.

Yes, I love my job. I am happy to help people every day. And my job needs me to
communicate with some staff in the government and offers me chance to work with
leaders form our client company. That means I have access to learn new knowledge.
Besides all of my colleagues they are easy going.

Yes, sometimes I miss being a student. It was fun to live in the dormitory and study
with your best friend. When I was a student, I had less pressure and worries. Because
I don’t need to pay my bills and there wasn’t always so many tasks you have to finish
in limited times. But I do enjoy to be more independent now that I have graduated.

I don't use any complicated technologies at work. We use an online application to chat
with each other. But it's not hard to use. Plus, I use typical office software like
outlook. Most of my job involves phone calls and emails. It's nothing fancy.

I work as an assistant in global entity management department. And that jobs need
several people to work together to serve the complex demands form our client. So, my
coworkers often help me with the group tasks. When I was new at the job, my co-
worker Violetta was really helpful. She taught me everything I know.
Dream and ambition

1. What was your childhood dream?

Well, when I was a child I want to be a baker and start my own business. However, when I grow up my
interests and dreams become more realistic. Soon, I realized that it is quite difficult for somebody to start a
small business. You need to have some talents in particular aspect. And I think I don’t have the ability.
Nowadays, my dream is to become a good staff in some famous companies like bytedance or Alibaba.

2. Are you the kind of person who sticks to dreams?

Well, I believe that I am the kind of person who can always stick to my dreams. However, it doesn’t mean
that everything always goes smoothly on my way to pursue my dreams. My key to handle those setbacks
and stay motivated is to have clear goals and strict plans. I think the process is way more important than
some outcomes.

3. What is your dream job?

Well, for me I think my dream job is to become a HR in some great companies like bytedance or Tecent.
Because I majored in human resource management when I was a college student. To put what I learned into
practices is really meaningful. Secondly, this is a quite stable job, I can get a satisfied salary and a clear
promotion ladder.

4. Do you think you are an ambitious person?

Well, when I was young, I may call my self an ambitious person. Because I always have some great dreams
like saving other’s life or invent some weapons. But now, all I want is to stay healthy and safe. And I just need
a stable work in order to pay my own bills.

Rain
1. Do you like rainy days?
Well, In Shanghai the summer is full of rainy days and I quite hate them. I don’t like those rainy days because
if the air is wet my hair will get curly. And it is really annoyed. Plus, I always forget to bring an umbrella. That
means I may be drenched like a drowned rat.

2. Does it rain much in your city?

Well, the answer is definitely yes. Every year, from June to August is the plum rains period in Shanghai. We
always say that it only rained twice this week, three days the first time and four days the second time. What’s
more, things easily get mildewed in the rainy season so I really hate these wet days.

3. Would you like to live in a dry or wet place?

I prefer a dry place. The humid weather always makes me feel like I'm sticky? And my hair get curly on wet
days. That means I need more time to take care of them. So, I feel dry days are more comfortable for me.

4. Would you change your plan if it rained?

Well, I think it depends. If I have a very important and formal appointment with my colleagues or teachers I
will stick to my original plans no matter it is a sunny day or a rainy day. However, if I just need to do some
out sports on my own I will definitely change it because I don’t want to get myself wet.
Week / Favorite Day
1. What is your favorite day of the week?
For me, l like Saturdays best. Because I can finally have a good sleep after 5 hard days and ignore the annoying
clock. It helps me to relax and release all of my stress. I will have enough time to do my own things like
watching a movie, having dinner in a fancy restaurant and so on. So, I think Saturday is the best. Sundays are
wonderful too, but I will worry about my work for next week on them, so Saturdays are my favorite.

2. What is your least favorite day?

I guess my answer would be Wednesday. Because after two days of work, I am physically and mentally
exhausted, and at the same time, I feel that the wonderful weekend is still far away from me. I don't hate
Friday, on the contrary, I really like it because I know I can take a break soon

3. What is the busiest day of the week for you?

I think in most cases, I have a much fuller schedule on every Friday. Because on Friday I need to do some
extra works including checking and reviewing some tasks I finished before. I also need to have a meeting
with my manager. Secondly, every Friday is my gym day. I will do some exercises with my coach for about 2
hours to keep my body fit. So Friday is absolutely the busiest day of the week.

4. Is there anything that you do every day?

dinner.

activities, like watching a movie.

Days off
1. When was the last time you had a few days off?
My last day off was just a few days ago at the weekend. I think it is very important to separate your work life
from your personal life. So, on the weekends I never do any work or any study. So, I get two days off from
work or study every week.

2. What do you usually do when you have days off?

During my break I like to do relaxing and fun activities. I try to do things that are low effort such as watching
comedy videos, listening to podcasts, or having light conversations with my friends and colleagues. It is
important to relax and switch off during your breaks.
3. Do you usually spend your days off with your parents or with your friends?
I like to spend my free time with my friends more so than with my family. I love seeing my family often, and
during holidays, but I have a lot more fun with my friends. My friends are all my age and interested in the
same things as me, so it is more fun to hang out with them.

4. What would you like to do if you had a day off tomorrow?

I would do so much if I had the day off tomorrow! I would plan fun activities with my friends such as

And I would eat lots of delicious food!

Teachers
1. Do you want to be a teacher in the future?
Well, for me I think I don’t want to be a teacher. And there are several reasons behind it. Firstly, I think to be
a good teacher not only requires professional knowledge but also requires patience, much more patience.
And I don’t think I can be patient enough to handle children issues. Secondly, I am kind of rebellious. You
know, my grandparents were all teachers before their retirement. So they always said that I should become
a teacher like them one day, so after all these years I think I will never become a teacher.

2. Do you remember one of your teachers

Yes of course. Miss Zhang, my English teacher, when I was a high school student really left me a deep
impression. She was so beautiful and she dressed like a princess every day. Most importantly, she had some
special and interesting teaching methods, we would never feel boring when we attended her classes. I think
I will never forget her.

3. What were your primary school teachers like?

Well, I think all of my primary school teachers are really kind and patient. Because primary school children
are not mature enough, both mentally and physically, so they must take care of them and teach them in
great patience. Besides, all of my primary school teachers are women, even my PE teacher was a young lady.

4. Do you have a favorite teacher?

English.

5. Do you think teachers are different now than the past?

snakes, coyotes, or even pandas in Sichuan province.

features.

Yes, of course. I have a friend we have known each other for a long time, 10 years maybe. We were junior
high school classmates, and even though we went to different high schools and colleges we still keep in
touch. When we are free, we will hang out and have a lot of fun.

Fixing things

1. Can you fix things?

Well, for me I am 100 percent sure that I know nothing about fixing things. If some home appliances break
down, my father will be the one who is responsible for repairing them. If my clothes are torn, my grandmother
will sew them up. Oh, there is one thing I am pretty good at. I am really good at calling repair man for help,
I am the only one who has his number. Hahahah!

2. Did anybody teach you to fix things when you were a child?
Yeah, I am pretty sure my father tried so many times to teach me how to fix some things before. When I was
a child, my father was not that busy, so when the lamps or microwave broke down, he would fix them on his
own. And he would always explain what he was doing to me and ask me to hand over some simple tools to
him. However, I was not interested in fixing things at all, all my attention was on Tv program back then.

3. Did you think it is necessary for people to fix things?

Well, from my perspective, there is no need for everyone to learn how to fix things. Why should everyone
learn how to fix things in the home when there are professionals who can do it for you? When people try to
fix things themselves, they often make a problem worse. People should leave it to those who are trained to
fix things. But I am pretty sure that everyone should learn how to avoid broke things.

4. What do you do when a thing is broken and cannot be fixed?

Well, for me, firstly I will check if there is any part of it can be reused. I will keep these useful parts in case I
will need them in the future. For example, if my lamp can not work, I will check if the bulb is in the good
condition. If so, I will save them. Secondly, I may try to recycle those broken things.

1. Did you stay focused in class when you were a child?

Well, I think most children cannot maintain their concentration, me, no exception. When I was a kid, I found

Secondly, when I get up I will drink a cup of iced americano, and it will help me to fully concentrate too.

4. Is it easy to stay focused in a noisy environment?

place.

some important tasks.
3. Is there a good place to buy ice cream where you live?
There are some amazing ice cream stores in my local area. There is one just down the street from my home
which is huge and has over a dozen different flavors of ice cream! There are also smaller places with really
good ice cream or gelato and nice staff.

4. Would you like to make you own ice cream?

Of course! I really hope to have a chance to make my own ice cream. I really enjoy eating guava, but most
