SAP Datasphere – Learning - Import

Data and Build Data Models in Data

Builder
Data Layer of
Datasphere:

1. Data Builder
2. Business Builder
The SAP Datasphere Data Layer contains the basic modeling of the underlying data sources
and tables.

The related set of tools is available in the SAP Datasphere Data Builder.
Here, developers and modelers use tables, views and intelligent lookups to combine, clean,
and prepare data. Views can be exposed directly to SAP Analytics Cloud and other analytics
clients.

The SAP Datasphere Business Layer allows users to create their own business models on
top based on business terms. The related set of tools is provided by the SAP Datasphere
Business Builder.
Data Builder:

• Create views and tables to prepare

data for your stories
• Use entity-relationship models to
visualize and make associations
between artifacts.

2. Upload
3. Preview the data
Here we can see :

1. Details of the columns

2. Transformation Log
Here you transform the
columns:
1.Create a transform

For each fields of the file, you can transform the data
as needed and you see a log and also delete the step

Now if you remove the transform, you see all

Cities again
Once you transform all the columns as
needed you can deploy the table in the
Data Builder
In a similar way you can upload all the necessary
source files needed for the model

❖ View can be exposed for

Analytical reporting like
SAC(SAP analytics Cloud)
Data can be filtered,

validated.
Various options to filter:

3. Parameters
4. Others
• Operators
• Predicates
• Case
Expressions
Preview your data in
the view with data
preview option on
the final view and the
view can be saved or
deployed
You can also share
the view to other
