It is used for-1.daily routine (permanent states and activites
hasbeks)
2.general truth 3.sports commentaries and cooking secipes
4.futhure activites ,timetables ,conditional and temporal clauses.
Specifice adverbs –
never,ever,sometimes,ussually ,generally,often,rarely,selom,ocasion
ally,always,every day/week/month/year/sumer/once/twice oi
week/month/year, from time to time etc.
e.g-The plane from London arrives in 2 hours. What time does the
meeting start?
e.g- I will tell you when I find out. She will come to your party if you
invite her.

Present Continous-Af.-S+am/is/are+not/V ing


-Neg.-S+am/is/are+not/V ing
-Int.-Am/Is/Are+S+V ing?
It is used for-1.actions is progress in the moment of speaking(now)
2.temporaly activites(currently)
3.radual development
4.personal plans(in the future).
Specific adverbs-now,right now,at present,for the time being,at the
moment,currently,just,still,tomorrow,tonight,this week year etc.
e.g.-She is crying.
I am waiting from my friend.

It is used for completed actions with present effects,experinces.

Specific adverb-

first/second time.
e.g.-My parents have just arrived home

1.It is used for actions which started in the past and continue in the
present.
e.g.-How long have you been waiting the theacher?
2. Actions which continnued for some time and have a visible effect
in the present .
e.g-I ve been sourmming and I fell really thred.

Past Simple-Af-S+V ed/V II

It is used for-a) actions which finished at a difinite time in the past.
e.g. The film began at 8 o clock.
I visited my grandparents last wekend.
b)actions which happend regulary in the past and no longer happen
in the present.
e.g.The used to live in the contry side when she was a child.
Did you use to walk to school?
c) the chronological cerder of events in a story.
e.g.He entred the office ,took some papers from the table and left in
a hurry.

Past Continous-Af-S+was/were+V ing


Neg. S+wasn t/weren t+V ing
Int. Was/Were+S+V ing ?
It is used for-a) Actions which were in progress at a difinite time in
the past.
e.g. At 7 o clock yesterday I was driving back home.
b)Long actions in the past which were interrupted by another action
in the past (past simple).
e.g. I was going to school yesterday when .
I saw a house on fire.

c)Actions which were happeaning at the some time.


e.g. The teacher was writing on the boared while the students were
talking ,wot paying attention the lesson.

there.

Future Simple-Af-S+will+V
Neg.S+will+not+V (won t)
The verb is always in the base form.
1. Voluntary action: Are you cold? I will turn off the air
conditioning?

2. Promise: I will wash the dishes after I eat. I promise

3. Future Prediction: I think he will come tonight. (Be going to can


also be used to make a prediction.)

Future Continous -Af-S + WILL + BE +V ing


Neg. S + WILL + NOT + BE +V ing (won t).
It shows-
a)Actions which will be in progres at a difinite time.
e.g. At this time tomorrow, I ll be travelling to L.A.
b)prolonged actions in the future.
e.g. I cannot come tomorrow because I ll be working all day
c) Predictions,future arrangemnts.
e.g.I think that in 50 years time people will be leaving ,on the moon.
e.g.I ll tell Tom tonight as we ll be seaing at the theatre.

Future Perfect-Af-Will+Have+Past Participle


It shows actions/situations which will be finished before another
action in the future.
e.g.By the time you arrive home,I ll have cooked dimmer.

Future Perfect Continous-Af-Will+Have been +V ing


It shows low an action will continue up to another future
action/moment.
e.g.By February they will have been living in this flatfor 10 years.

Present Conditional-Af-WOULD+V

Perfect Conditional-Af-WOULD+HAVE+V III

Imperative- V !
