Exercise 8. Translate these sentences in English using present tenses.

20. Даня засмучений, тому що загубив книжку. Danya is upset, cause he has lost his book.
21. Вона втомлена, тому що вчила нові слова усю ніч. She is tired, cause she has learned new
words all night.

22. Чому Ви вдягнули пальто? Сьогодні дуже тепло. Why did you wear a coat? Today is very
warm.

23. Куди ви поклали мій словник? Я не можу його ніде знайти. Where did you put my dictionary?
I can’t find it anywhere.

24. Мій брат живе в Києві. – Скільки часу він там живе? - Він живе там з 1998 року. My brother
lives in Kyiv. How long has he lived there? He has been living there since 1998.

25. Я ще ніколи не бачила заходу сонця. I have never seen a sunset.

26. Холоднішає, тому нам треба вставити нові вікна. It's getting colder, so we need to put in new
windows.
