The Algebra 1 team will use Google Classroom for links to the instructional framework (daily agenda),
assignments and general class announcements.

❏ What is the day and time for the tutorial?

My tutorials are on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00pm.

❏ How do I attend the tutorial?

Arrive to Room 4121 at North Atlanta High School by 4:00pm. Students are free to arrive as early at
3:45pm, if necessary.

❏ How will I be notified of new assignments? How do I submit assignments?

New assignments will be posted daily in Google Classroom; links will also be placed in the daily agenda.
Assignments should be submitted online (via Desmos, Quizizz, Delta Math, etc.).

❏ Do I need to attend class every day?

Daily attendance is required. In the case of an absence, students will be responsible for completing any
assignments for the day(s).

❏ Can teachers mark my assignments late/missing?

Assignments not turned in by the due date will be marked missing until turned in. When turned in, late
assignments will be scored with a 20% late penalty.

❏ Is there a late work penalty (20% off)?

Yes, if the assignment is not completed by the stated due date, a late work penalty of 20% will be taken
off. Students with an excused absence will be expected to submit missed work on or before the third
class meeting after the absence. Pre-announced assignments are due upon return to school.

❏ What are the hard deadlines for late or missing assignments?

Please refer to the course syllabus for late and missing work deadlines. These deadlines are set by the
school and apply to all students.

❏ Will there be midterms and final exams?

Though there will be no final exam, there will be Atlanta Public School unit tests administered online
during the course. APS will also conduct MAPP testing throughout the school year. The end of the 1st
semester (December) will be assessed with a cumulative exam on Units 1, 2, 3 and 4. Near the end of
2nd semester, the Georgia End of Course (Milestone) exam will serve as our final exam in Algebra 1.

You may contact me via Google Classroom or my APS email. My email address is
gina.robinson@atlanta.k12.ga.us.

❏ Who do I contact if I do not have a device or cannot connect to the internet?

Contact the school to obtain an APS issued device. There are also several internet service provider
options which are located here on my website and in Google Classroom.

❏ What happens if I am absent?

If the absence is excused (sickness, doctor’s appointment, etc.), please email our attendance officer,
Kimberly Robinson, at kimberly.robinson@atlanta.k12.ga.us and provide the necessary documentation,
