Q. 1 Computers can help businesses by making their staff efficient and productive and
also save their valuable time in different business activities. Despite key benefits,
computers have also brought few challenges. Discuss the challenges posed by
computers and how a manager can address those issues. (20)

Q. 2 A word processor is a computer program that provides for input, editing,


formatting and output of text, often with some additional features. The most
commonly used work process is Microsoft Word in Pakistan. Discuss how you can
perform following functions using MS Word; (20)

 Smart Art Graphics
Q. 3 A spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel, is a computer application program that simulates a
physical spreadsheet by capturing, displaying and manipulating data arranged in rows
and columns. Discuss how you can perform following functions using MS Excel; (20)
 Developing and Saving Workbook
 Creating an Excel Table
 Financial Calculations

Q. 4 How a manager can perform work-if analysis through a worksheet? Explain with

This assignment is a research-oriented activity. You are required to submit a term paper and
present the same in the workshop prior to the final examination. Presentation component is
compulsory for all students. You will have to participate in the activity fully and prepare a
paper of about 15 to 20 pages on the topic allotted to you. You are required to prepare two
copies of Assignment No. 2. Submit one copy to your teacher for evaluation and the
second copy for presentation in the classrooms in the presence of your resource persons and
classmates, which will be held at the end of the semester prior to final examination.

Include the following main headings in your report:

b) Important sub-topics
c) Practical aspects with respect to the topic
d) Review of theoretical and practical situations
e) SWOT analysis of the organization with respect to your topic
