SECTION A (40 MARKS)

1. Solve for x , given log 2 ( 11 − 6 x ) = 2 log 2 ( x − 1 ) + 3 .

2. Differentiate √cos x from first principles.

3. Solve: 4 cos2x + 3sin 2 x = 3 for 0o ≤ x ≤ 360 o .
