wars.

- Thanksgiving has been celebrated nationally on and off since 1789, with a proclamation by
George Washington
- Families and friends get together for a meal
- Traditional meals include a roast turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce,
gravy, and pumpkin pie.

- The festive season traditionally begins on the fourth Thursday in November, just after the
Thanksgiving holiday.
- Kids of American families love to treat Santa with the foods they like a lot, that is; milk and
some cookies. They may even leave some carrots for the reindeer
