Purpose: Widely used in fields where high-level fire prevention is required such as large building,
tunnel, petroleum and chemical industry, power plant and mine, etc.
Characteristics: Due to the increasingly higher level of equipment, automatic control and
centralized monitoring systems used in various factories and buildings, the demands for energy and
communication capacity are increasing accordingly. Since wires and cables for such equipment are
usually laid in narrow space, once fire occurs, it may spread to whole line rapidly. Fortunately,
flame-retardant wire and cable are able to prevent the spreading of fire along line, which helps to
stop further expansion of fire and to reduce loss.
Purpose: Widely used in fields where fire control and fire rescue is highly required, such as
high-rise building, subway, tunnel, petroleum and chemical industry, power plant and important
industrial and mining enterprises, etc.
Characteristics: In case of burning, fire-resistant cable can keep running normally for some time.
What different from conventional cables and flame-retardant cables is that fire-resistant cable can
transmit power normally in case of fire, which is useful for evacuating people and protecting
important facilities.
Product designation is subject to GA306.2 issued by the Ministry of Public Security, in which
fire-resistant cables are classified into Classes I, II, III and IV, each Class includes Types A and B
according to flame intensity. Fire-resistant cable mark is expressed as NH-, and the fire resistance
ratings are expressed as follows:
Class I, type A: IA; Class I, type B: IB;
Class II, type A: IIA; Class II, type B: IIB;
Class III, type A: IIIA; Class III, type B: IIIB;
Class IV, type A: IVA or A; Class IV, type B: IVB or B;
In which, Classes I and II are halogen-free low-smoke fire-resistant cables, Class III is
low-halogen low-smoke fire-resistant cable, Class IV is general fire-resistant cable. Types A and B
represent the capability of cable to withstand flame temperature. Type A is better than type B. Type
A fire-resistant cable doesn’t break down in 950~1000℃ flame for 90 min. under rated voltage;
Type B fire-resistant cable doesn’t break down in 750~800℃ flame for 90 min. under rated voltage.
Fire-resistant wire and cable adopt fire-resistant cable mark, fire resistance rating mark, material and
structure mark, rated voltage and specification.
Production scope: Our fire-resistant products include fire-resistant wire, fire-resistant control cable,
etc., and fire-resistant power cable is with voltage 1kV and under 1kV. Users can select appropriate
fire resistance rating on demands. When signing contract, the type and specification of fire-resistant
cable shall be stated. If only NH-mark is available, we will produce Class IVB fire-resistant cable.

Appendix IV Operation Instructions
Conducting wires
Dear customers, thanks for using our products, and please bear in mind the following precautions
on installation and use of our products in order to ensure the safety of conducting wires.
1. Before use, please check carefully the type, specification, length, weight and coil No., etc. on
the product certificate.
2. When loading/unloading, please handle with care. It is prohibited to throw cable coils with
conducting wires off from high place, to prevent mechanical damage to conducting wires. When
lifting packing cases, cable coils shall be handled one by one. It is prohibited to lift several coils at
one time.
3. During transportation, cable coils must be kept stable by appropriate fixing measures to
prevent colliding with each other or turning over.
4. During payoff of wires, the payoff stand shall be used and operated at regular tensioning force.
It is prohibited to pull wires violently in order to prevent conducting wires being pressed into the
lower layer by varied force. Meanwhile, it is prohibited to drag conducting wires against ground or
have them rub with other articles, to avoid damage to conducting wire.
5. During construction, cables shall be well protected to keep from damage caused by externl or
mechanical force.
6. If you have any doubt on the length or weight of our products before use, please provide
substantial evidence to prove that the product is not a used one.

3. During transportation, cable coils must be kept stable by appropriate fixing measures to
prevent colliding with each other or turning over.
4. When conducting electric acceptance test, cable ends must be treated at first. For cable with
outer shielding layer, the shielding layer shall be cut off with enough length. Distance between ends
must be enough to prevent corona discharge that may result in failure of test.
5. During payoff of cables, the payoff stand shall be used and operated at regular tensioning force.
It is prohibited to pull cables violently.
6. During construction, cables shall be well protected to keep from damage caused by external or
mechanical force.
7. Cables shall be kept from damp and shall not be stored in open air. Unused cables shall have
ends sealed to prevent water entering into cables.
