Write a discussion thread that answers the following questions:
1. Is it important to have effective reading and writing skills in the
workplace? Why or why not?
2. How can being a strong reader and writer help people avoid problems
in the workplace?
3. What type of reading and writing do you think you will do in your
major at CNM?
4. What are at least three reading and writing tasks that you will likely
have to do in your future career? You may research the duties and
responsibilities of the type of job you will do in order to gain a better
understanding of the types of reading and writing you will engage in.
Part 2: (Due Sunday at 11:59 pm)
Respond to two classmates. Write at least three complete sentences for
each response. Use the following questions to help you:
• Can you relate to your classmate's ideas? Explain.
• How do you think the reading and writing tasks that you may do in the
future are similar or different compared to the reading and writing
tasks your classmates may do in the future?
• Do you have any questions about the reading and writing tasks that
your classmates may complete in their intended careers?
• Do you have any suggestions about the reading and writing tasks that
your classmates may complete in their intended careers?
Please use standard written English: write full sentences and proofread
your post. Use the built-in spell check to make sure you avoid spelling
errors. Avoid text speak. You cannot delete a post you published, but you
can edit your own published posts. Treat all written assignments in this
class as practice for professional writing.
