When to use DTV?

▪ Data transition validation is a tool provided by SAP, implemented in ABAP

▪ It allows data validation during a

▪ System conversion to SAP S/4HANA 2020 (and higher)
▪ Upgrade to SAP S/4HANA 1809 (and higher)

▪ Specific reports and transactions as pre-delivered content are used for validation

▪ You compare data prior and post the conversion or the SAP S/4HANA upgrade activity

▪ DTV does not require an additional system, tool is executed in the respective system

▪ The tool is delivered as part of SAP BASIS software component

▪ SAP S/4HANA 2021 (SPS00 and higher) contains DTV
▪ If SP-level of source and/or target is not sufficient, use transport-based correction instructions (TCI)
