As per IS 13920 : 1993
The spacing of hoops over a length of 2d at either end of a beam shall not exceed
(a) d/4 and
(b) 8 times the diameter of the smallest longitudinal bar;
however, it need not be less than 100 mm

The first hoop shall be at a distance not exceeding’ 50 mm from the joint face. Vertical hoops at the same
spacing as above, shall also be provided over a length equal to 2d on either side of a section where
flexural yielding may occur under the effect of earthquake forces. Elsewhere, the beam shall have vertical
hoops at a spacing not exceeding d/2.

the SBC has to be checked.The Base slab is designed as a grade slab.

The height of water considerd for design = 2.5 m
Load due to self wt of base slab = 17.5 kn/sqm
Load due to water inside the tank = 25 kn/sqm
