influencing and guiding the members towards achieving common goals. Different leaders
possess distinct leadership styles, which can have a profound impact on the overall dynamics
and success of a team or organization. Understanding various leadership styles and their
implications is essential for both leaders and followers to foster a positive and productive
working environment.
During on our interview conducted on May 02, 2023, Mr Dante B. Andemer SP III District-in-
charge in Salawagan Elementary School, Quezon, Bukidnon, he aforementioned that leadership
have two different types, the task orientation and the human resources orientation, however, the
interviewee said balancing the two is what he practiced in his administration. But since the
Department of Education is a highly structured organization so he considered the Task
Orientation leadership style in which it mainly focus on the mission, vision and goals.
The best practices of leadership can vary depending on the context and situation, but there
are some fundamental principles that tend to be effective in various leadership roles. During the
interview, Mr. Andemer said that the main focus in the Deped is the quality basic education
because during the pandemic they observed that the reading competency of the learners are
getting slower from the previous years. Through this they conducted a intervention for a
development of the reading skills of the learners. They created a reading program in different
schools. He also believed that " Reading is a tool to all learning and subject areas." With that
statement, the students and interviewee can say leadership is a dynamic and evolving practice.
It requires self-awareness, empathy, and a willingness to continuously improve and adapt to
different situations and challenges.
The interviewee also said that if any problem that would arise would be settle by discussing
it with the stakeholders, school coordinators like conducting community- based program. In
terms of traveling outside the municipality the school would ask for help from the Local
Government Unit.
Based on the interview that was conducted the students conclude that the foundation
especially in educational administration is what is important as a school administrator is we
have to focus our goals, missions, visions, and values in a organization in which we are working.
In other words, in our department since we are talking of school leadership our goals, of course
the basic quality education so on our programs, projects and activities must focus on the
development of the academic of our students. It’s either curricular or extra-curricular that must
be the end line for our learners. Activities that will develop academically to the learners.
