ANNUAL REPORT
COLLEGE LEVEL EVENTS:
1. “INTERNAL SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2022” was organized by the Department of Computer
Science and Engineering on 11th April 2022 at K.S. Institute of Technology, Bangalore. It is an open
house event. The students from different branches had participated in this event. The event included a
mentoring session by the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering department. The event was
accompanied by prominent jury members consisting of Mr. Pradeep Kumar G H, Senior System
Engineer, IBM and Mr. Narasimha Prasanna H N, Software developer. The best 10 teams were identified
to take part in Smart India Hackathon 2022 throughout the country.
2. Department of Computer Science and Engineering hosted a Sentinel Hack 3.0 with the theme
“Multiverse of Opportunities” in association with Board for BITES, during 20th and 21st June 2022.
The event was organized by the CSE Firefox students club at K. S. Institute of Technology, Bangalor.
Supporting the concept of Aatmanirbhar Bharath the brain child of our honorable Prime minister, Shri
Narendra Modi. This provided a platform for the students to exhibit their coding abilities in various
domains like Agriculture, Education, Cyber Security, Fintech, Healthcare and Open Innovation Category.
This enabled the students to innovatively think and solve real world problems. Sixty (60) teams with over
200 participants all over Karnataka had taken part in this event that was adjudged by eminent
academicians and industrialists.
3. Two days National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Engineering – 2022" was organized by
the department of Computer science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and
Mechanical Engineering was conducted from 20th -21st June 2022. 162 papers were presented in various
sessions.
4. Three FDPs and an Staff training Program was conducted during the academic year 2021-22.
● FDP on “Wireless Communication: A Practical Approach” was conducted from 9th-10th

October 2021.
● FDP on “Patent Drafting: Basics” was conducted on 17th November 2021.
● FDP on “Outcome Based Education” was conducted from 17th to 19th March 2022
● Three days STP on "Capacity Building" was conducted from 4th to 6th April 2022, for the non-
teaching faculty of KSIT.

1. Mechanical department organized webinar on “Design innovation for successful career

in the field of Aviation” using systems tool kit software on 7th July, 2021 for
mechanical students. The webinar was informative and students have gained knowledge
about tools used in aviation sector.
2. Department has organized webinar on “Non-destructive Evaluation of Castings and to

learn about the evolution in the Foundry Industry with respect to Non-Destructive
Testing”in association with IIF, on 21st July 2021. The speaker highlighted the need
and importance of nondestructive testing in foundry sector.
3. Department organized one day industrial visit for KSIT and KSP students on
8th September, 2021 to “walvoil” company located in Bangalore. Students got good
exposure of various hydraulic systems asthe company manufactures pumps, compressors,
taps and valves,hydraulic power engines and motors, pumps for liquids fitted with
measuring devices, including hand pumps and pumps designed for fitting to internal-
combustion piston engines etc, air or vaccum pumps, air or other gas compressors, taps,
cocks, valves and similar appliances for pipes, boilers shells, tanks, vats or the like
including pressure reducing valves and thermostatically controlled valves.
4. Department organized Engineers day on 15th September, 2021 as a mark of
remembrance and tribute to Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who is considered as one of
the greatest engineers in the country. Senior faculty highlighted the importance of
discipline and dedication required to succeed in life.
5. Department organized webinar on “Basic Grey Iron Metallurgy” in association with the
Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF)- Bangalore on 30th October, 2021. Participants
were teaching fraternity and industry working professionals. Speaker presented the
importance of Cast iron in various engineering applications and also how metallurgical
processes helps in enhancing properties of cast iron.

National Service Scheme:
1. The NSS Unit of KSIT in the wings of National Service Scheme (NSS) organized „REPUBLIC
DAY‟ on 26TH JANUARY 2022. Dr.Dilip Kumar K, Principal of KSIT, Principal of Polytechnic
Suresh Kumar, Dr. K V A Balaji, CEO of K S Group of Institutions, Dr.Sangappa, Director-
Admissions PRO, the management cell, Mr. Naveen V, NSS PO and Mr. Umesh S, Physical
Education Director inaugurated the function. All the Heads of the department, NSS committee
members, teaching & non-teaching staff and NSS Volunteers were present in the event.
The president and the principal addressed the gathering. The invocation was led by a senior singing
a patriotic song. The flag was hoisted by the dignitaries which was led by the national anthem. The
president and the principal addressed the gathering. The crowd was dispersed and refreshments
were given.
2. International yoga day was celebrated in KSIT campus on 21-06-2022 by NSS unit from 8:30am to
10:30am. The startedof with NSS volunteers warming up before doing yoga poses. Our principle
also gave an head start by cheering up the students with his speech to maintain healthy mindset and
body by regularly practicing yoga. Our seniors led the crowd by guiding how to do many asanas
and meditation. In the end after an hour session enlightening of yoga breakfast was given to the
students.

3. The NSS Cell of KSIT under the umbrella of National Service Scheme(NSS) celebrated Blood
Donation Camp on 13th June 2022 in KSIT campus. Chief Guest-Mrs.TriptiRao, Mrs. India 2017,
Mrs.world Finalist 2017 Entrepreneur, Educator, Media Panelistand Keynote Speaker,
Sri.R.LeelaShankar Rao, HonSecretory ,Kammavari Sangham and Sri.T.NeerajakhuluNaidu,
Treasurer, Kammavari Sangham Grace the Occasion.

4. ENVIRONMENTAL DAY was celebrated in KSIT campus on 06.06.2022 by NSS UNIT OF
KSIT at 2.50pm -3.30pm. All the volunteers took part in the event for celebrating
environmental day organized by KSIT NSS unit. They planted several saplings of different
kinds. Students from all the semester came up front as a joint force to save mother Earth and to
preserve and raise awareness about the deteriorating environmental conditions. The event went
on successfully.

GRADUATION DAY:
K.S. Institute of technology (KSIT), Bengaluru organized graduation day ceremony at the
Institute premises on 26th March, 2022 around 10.30 AM for the graduates of batches 2016-2020 and
2017-2021.
The dignitaries chief guest Dr. Gopalan Jagadeesh, Guest of Honour Mr. Gururaj Nayak along
with management committee members including our Honourable Secretary Sri R. Leela Shankar Rao,

ANANYA 2K22
The cultural activities enhance the confidence level of the students thereby allowing them to
perform better. These activities develop the personality of the students and assist them in shaping a
good career. In fact, students can also leverage the advantage of participating and conducting in various
activities. This year K.S INSTITUE OF TECHNOLOGY decided to have its annual fest ANANYA
2K22 after a gap of 2 years with the theme “ANRUTHA“ meaning “BEYOND IMAGINATION“
which was dedicated to the COVID warriors.
The team of Ananya consists of chief co-ordinators, faculty co-ordinators and student co-
ordinators named as core committee, various clubs and core volunteers without whose help Ananya
couldn‟t be a full fledged event. Their dedication towards the task and duties to meet the expectations
for the much awaited event of Ananya was all worth to be successful.
The most awaited day for every individual was the final day, all the core committee members
and the clubs came together to give a last bash of the event. The event was a fully fledged with a grand
success. It was a lit in every ones eye.
The moment of meeting their celebrity Renowed Anchor and Actress Ms ANUSHREE was the
Chief Guest of ANANYA 2K22. The Inauguration program started at 9.00 am in the morning with
chief guest, Management, CEO, Principal, Chief Coordinator and Student core coordinators. The
program went on with all the events scheduled there onwards till grooving to the DJ night, the efforts
was all worth the end.
5KMarathon– KSGI PARISARA
Department of Electrinics and Communication in association with IEEE,WIE & SPS,

KSIT organized a 5K marathon “ KSGI PARISARA” on 4thJune 2022, sponsored by
Gold‟s gym. This marathon is a short awarenessprogram to Save Environment From
the 2nd week of May, the campaigningfor marathon had begun to make our fellow
students of KSGI aware of theupcoming big event. The registrations began soon after
the campaigning,thereby making an amazingly enthusiastic crowd. All the
participants weregivenasweatshirt forthemarathon.

Sports Day 2021-22
Department of Physical Education and Sports organized the Annual Sports Day on 11th June 2022 at
UCPE stadium, Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bangalore.
The programme started with an invocation song followed by march-past. The Chief Guest of the day
was Dr. M. Shivaram Reddy , VTU Sports and Cultural Committee Member, PED of BMS College of
Engineering. Sri Prajwal Krishna , Cricket ,Soft Ball & Hand Ball Player , Alumni of KSIT and Sri
Jayanth Patil HH , Karate Player ,Alumni of KSSEM were invited as the Guests of Honor. They were
welcomed by our beloved Principal Dr.Dilip Kumar K .
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and shared the importance of sports. Our Honorable Secretary
Sri R. Leela Shankar Rao mentioned the importance of sports extended in the college and
encouragement received from the Kammavari Sangam. The Treasurer Sri. T. Neerajakshulu Naidu,
Sri. M Yogamurthy , Internal Auditor , CEO Dr.K.V.A.Balaji , Principal K.Rama Narasimha of
KSSEM and all the Department Heads and Staff were present on the occasion. Finally, the vote of
thanks was proposed by Dr.Sangappa SB , PRO / Director, KSGI .
Totally the events conducted were, 10 (Men) and 8(women) in which 1325students participated. The
Individual championship was bagged by 1.Kushal Kadam , 4th Sem Mech 2. Likhitha N , 8tn Sem CSE. The Overall
team championship for Department was taken by Dept of Computer Science
