    Outline
     This Tech Info informs the notes for replacing EPL5 main PCB.
     Please install applied firmware when using the EPL5 main PCB.

     The firmware that the EPL5 has been applied are listed as follows.
     Use the following versions or later when replacing the EPL5

    Applicable models and Firmware versions


     

     (1)The applicable firmware version is not determined as of March 19, 2021.


         When the applicable firmware are released, we will inform with Tech Info.

     (2)When EPL2 main PCB is used for JV300/150 series and CJV300/150 series:
          When remodeling from EPL2 to EPL5, refer to T-2728-T2216, 2681

          because remodeling from EPL2 to EPL5 is the same as remodeling from EPL2 to EPL3.

    Supplementary note 1
     For the machines installed EPL2/3 Main PCB and firmware earlier than above versions are installed:
     When updating to the firmware versions above or later, an error message appears on firmware update tool.
     However, the version upgrade itself has been successfully completed.
      
     Refer to the following message and box.

     Error display: Cannot transmit the data. Check the status of the printer.
      

    Supplementary note 2
     Parameter files uploaded in EPL3 can be downloaded directly to EPL5
