Availability Form: Sept 2023 - July 2024

Please complete this form and return by our deadline 14th June. We use these forms
to help us create the new timetable for next academic year. Please remember that your
contract with the school will end after 8 th July. We are unable to guarantee places for more than
one academic year at a time. This is because every year our timetable changes.

Why do timetables have to change?


 As students get older, their class sizes get smaller; this impacts the timetable considerably.
 Students’ availability changes each year as they start new schools and activities.
 Teachers’ working hours are subject to change around their personal commitments. Indeed, this
coming year there continues to be reduced availability as Laura is extending her leave, to
focus on her family time with Felicity, and only Chrissy will be teaching which limits options.

Formats?

 Younger Students: Classes will be physical, on a Saturday. (Venue to be confirmed after new hire
contracts. Following flood damage the Community Shop continues to be unavailable. If we are unable
to continue our temporary contract with the Church, we may have to be on Zoom for a period).
 G4, 5 & 6 Students: There will be Zoom options, and potentially some limited physical Saturday
places.
 G6 + Students: Classes will remain on Zoom for the following reasons:
- Older students are working very efficiently on Zoom, and achieving excellent exam results.
- Many parents have expressed that they prefer this system.
- Booking venues for very late evening, and for small numbers, presents challenges, and we no longer feel
that we can use our mother’s home for teaching. (Also, please remember that Chrissy lives in Essex.)

1. FORMAT: For any PHYSICAL lessons, please remember to allow for travel. Venues will remain as local as
possible to the Borehamwood area, however we are unable to confirm at this early stage. Most likely within the
WD6 or WD7 areas. *Remember that physical lessons may revert to Zoom for venue issues etc.
2. SIBLINGS: Please complete this one form, for all of your children within the school.
3. NEXT GRADE: Please remember to complete the grade your child will be working on next year (you can
see their current grade on their academic year sheet, which should be at the front of their folder). If your child is
moving on to Grade 4 you will notice that they now have some Rota options too.
4. OPTIONS: Please do not write your first choice only. You’re welcome to indicate this, however please give us
some options to work with.
5. GRADUATES: If your young person has only one exam remaining then please understand that their choices will
be limited. This is because we have to place them strategically so that Spring & Summer terms are not left with
gaps. This means it may not be possible to accommodate preferences.
