Describe the flow of energy in the pyramid

As shown by the pyramid shape, each successive trophic level receives less food
energy than the one below it. Approximately 90% of the energy from food is "lost" as
heat when it is used by organisms to power essential life processes such as breathing
and digestion, while the remaining 10% is stored in the tissues of the various
organisms. This latter energy is capable of being transferred to the next trophic level. As
a result, higher trophic levels on the pyramid have less energy.
Imagine you have a colleague who always blames technology for
environmental problems. What would you say to your colleague to demonstrate
that technology affects the environment in both a positive and a negative
manner?

You could start by saying that technology has a big effect on the way we live and
on the world around us. For example, we use clean energy sources like wind and solar
power to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions, and we use high-tech waste
treatment plants to keep water sources from getting dirty. You would agree, though, that
technology could hurt the environment. E-waste, for example, has a lot of toxic
materials that can pollute the air, soil, and groundwater. So you've come to the
conclusion that technology can have both good and bad effects on the environment.

8. Environment Sustainability

Answer the following questions

1. According to the essay, what is migration?

Migration is the process of people moving from one place to another.
People can move within a country or between countries. Migration can be
permanent, short-term, or seasonal. There are many reasons why people move.
These could be about the economy, society, politics, or the environment.
2. What are the effects of migration to the Filipino women?
Ultimately, the increased population in receiving countries is one of the
social, economic, and political problems caused by Filipino women's migration.
Second, the need for products and services is growing. Lastly, citizens are being
forced out of their rural and urban jobs.
3. What are the challenges faced by the Filipino women working abroad?
Living in a foreign country presents mental, emotional, and social
difficulties for these women. These women are under a great deal of pressure,
especially during their first year in a foreign country. Their health declines as they
adjust to a new place of employment, culture, social norms, diet, and climate.
The financial burden of maintaining contact with loved ones back in the
Philippines can add emotional stress for those who have been separated from
them.

Food Security

When I hear the phrase "food security," three images immediately come to mind.
The first is the food, of course. Animals and plants are the main food
sources. People and animals eat it because it gives them energy and food and
keeps them healthy.

Second, there is food production, which includes crop growth and

harvesting as well as livestock rearing and slaughter. Other examples include
milking, catching fish and seafood, and collecting hen eggs.
Specifically, those who work in manual labor types in the industry and
agricultural workforce.

When it comes to food security in terms of locations, I can say that

agriculture and the manufacturing industry are the most important. Agriculture is
concerned with farms and fisheries, whereas manufacturing is concerned with
factories.
In terms of characteristics, I can divide food security into three categories.
The first is food access, which represents an individual's ability to obtain food.
Second, food availability denotes the presence of an adequate amount of food at
any given time. Finally, food usage refers to taking the necessary steps to ensure
that a person has the knowledge to select essential basic foods as well as
adequate water and sanitation.

Generalization

The important things that i have learned about the Human environmental
interactions refer to the myriad ways in which people and their natural surroundings
influence one another. In order to accommodate human needs, natural environments
are drastically changed by human activities like landscape fragmentation; this has a
disproportionate impact on mountainous, fragile, and marginal regions. The health of
ecosystems and people are both put at risk by this trend. Concurrently, these shifts
could spark rivalries amongst previously peaceful constituencies. This interdisciplinary
team of researchers is looking into human-environment interactions with the hopes of
coming up with workable solutions.

I also learned about the different kinds of Human environment interaction. Firstly
the natural resources The demand for natural resources continues to rise as the
population grows and per capita consumption rises with socioeconomic advancement.
Natural resource depletion due to extraction and exploitation is especially concerning for
non-renewable resources. Secondly the Deforestation ,Soil erosion is exacerbated by
deforestation. When trees are cut down, the land below becomes exposed; without
trees to bind the soil together to intercept, the soil is more likely to be carried away
during rainy seasons. The loss of forests has a significant impact on water supply.
Lastly, the Energy resources such as wind power, hydroelectric power, and solar power
are examples of renewable energies that can be used instead of fossil fuels. These
renewable energies work by converting wind, water, and sun energy into electricity,
respectively.

Lastly, now I know and understand the Human-environmental interactions are

advantageous to humans. No other species on the planet has interacted with the
environment in the same way that humans have. Human adaptation to the earth has
allowed them to rule over the environment and related ecosystems. It also have a huge
negative impact in our environment. Humans have a wide range of effects on the
physical environment, including overpopulation, pollution, the use of fossil fuels, and
deforestation. These types of changes have resulted in climate change, soil erosion,
poor air quality, and undrinkable water.

Contemporary World – Preliminary Activity for Week 13

Abortion

Yes, it is the mother's choice to have an abortion, in my opinion. If they truly

cannot handle or care for the baby, abortion is preferable to causing the child to suffer.
It's not breathing yet, so it's not murder, and it's a choice; if it's murder, why are there no
people in the jail because of the abortion? And, once again, it is entirely my decision.
Choose pro-choice over pro-life.

Reproductive Health Bill

Because of the high number of people in our country who have little or no work, I
support the Reproductive Health Bill. People who are less fortunate in life usually have
a lot of children. If we allow it or support the reproductive health bill, we will have fewer
children and fewer hungry stomachs in our country.

Sex Education

Indeed. Primarily because it encourages young children to recognize the benefits

and drawbacks of having a sexual intercourse and raises self-awareness of sexual
danger taking behavior or STI/HIV disease rates. It also teaches young people the
proper way to use insurance and improves their perspectives on sexual and
reproductive health and behaviors.

Republic Act 7610

I support R.A. 7610 because it provides stronger deterrence and special

protection against child abuse, exploitation, and discriminatin, as well as penalties for
violations and other purposes.

The important things that I have learned about the Producers are organisms that
generate food for themselves as well as for other organisms. They create organic
compounds by combining energy and simple inorganic molecules. Producer stability is
critical to ecosystems because all organisms require organic molecules. Autotrophs are
another name for producers. Autotrophs are classified into two types: photoautotrophs
and chemoautotrophs. Consumers are living things that eat other living things. They get
the molecules they need by eating other living things. They are made up of all animals
and fungi. They include many bacteria and even a few plants, like the pitcher plant.
Consumers are also called heterotrophs. Decomposers break down the remains and
other wastes and send back to the environment simple inorganic molecules. The
molecules can then be used to make other organic compounds. Every ecosystem
needs decomposers that don't change. Decomposers are put into different groups
based on what kind of organic matter they break down.

I also learned about the Food chains represent a single energy flow path through
an ecosystem. It depicts a single item that an organism consumes, whereas a Food
Web depicts all of the different paths of energy flow and multiple items that organisms
consume.

Lastly, now I know and understand that the populations of all the different
species that live together in an area make up an ecological relationships. Community
ecologists examine how different species in a community interact with each other.
Interactions between two or more species are called interspecific interactions.
Relationships between organisms within or between overlapping niches can be
classified into five types: competition, predation, commensalism, mutualism, and
parasitism.
