But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will
teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray
for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too
deep for words.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the
gift of the Holy Spirit.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you,
whom you have from God? You are not your own,
And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and
the fear of the LORD.
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows
him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how
much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask
him!”
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When
the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not
speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will
declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take
what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I
said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the
power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will
remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I
will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be
careful to obey my rules.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God
dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong
to him.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into
our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the
Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other
tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the
day of redemption.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will
not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he
will declare to you the things that are to come.
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He
went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for
God was with him.
And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has
given to those who obey him.”
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in
you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple
is holy, and you are that temple.
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And
suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it
filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire
appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled
with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave
them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from
every nation under heaven. ...
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the
deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you
forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering
produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character
produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has
been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might,
nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
“I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is
mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you
with the Holy Spirit and fire.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you
forever,
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on
all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young
men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male
servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they
shall prophesy.
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I
do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to
you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and
righteousness and judgment:
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was
