Topic: MINISTRY OF CURSES PART 1

Text: Gen. 3:14-19

INTRODUCTION:

Right from the beginning, God had a perfect plan and programme for humanity, but Satan came and deceived
man (Adam & Eve) to walk contrary to God instructions, as a result, a curse was placed upon man and
generations to come.

WHAT IS A CURSE? A curse is an evil sentence pronouncement condemnation place on someone or

something under a demonic anointing or abnormal circumstance. It comes by the spoken word.

TYPES CURSES

There are several types of curses, but we will limit this study to only three.

1. Direct curses: Matt 21:18-19. When Jesus returns to Jerusalem after staying overnight in Bethany he
was hungry, He notice a fig tree and the tree could not give Him food he placed a curse on it and
immediately the tree withered.

2. In direct curses: 1 Kings 16:34. Remember in Joshua 6:26, when the walls of Jericho fell, Joshua
prophecy that who so ever rebuild Jericho would be deprived of both his oldest and younger son.

3. Generational curses: It is a pronouncement from one generation to another. Gen. 9: 20-25. Canaan
never committed any crime but the Father but the cure linger to them.

Josh. 9: 22-27. The Gibeonites were people who lived down the mountain of Israel; they wanted to
make peace and to guarantee their safety. Hearing what Joshua did to Jericho, they decided to tell lies
to have a place in the Israelite camp. But when Joshua discovered, he placed a curse on them and
their generation to remain as slaves. He could not kill them because of the vow he had made to God.
(Just like the osu people in Ibo land).

CATEGORY OF CURSES

1. Environmental curse
2. Ancestral curses: Everything our fathers did in the past could haunt us in future. (a native doctor).
3. Organizational curses.

HOW CURSES CAN COMES ON SOMEBODY

 1. Sin: Gen. 3:14-19
2. Shading of innocent blood: Gen. 4: 11-15, (Abortion)
3. Stealing: Zech. 5:3-4
4. Investing on a curse project. Josh. 6:26. Building on a land that is under dispute or building a chalet
for prostitute as a business.
5. Sexual immorality: Gen. 49:4-9. Reuben having sex with his father’s wife. Also having sex with
someone who is not your spouse, you also lose your identity and authority.
6. Disobedience: Deut. 11:26-28.
7. When you do God’s work deceitfully. Jer. 48:10
8. When you put your trust on man. Jer. 17:6
9. Robbing God of His tithe can bring curse on you. Mal. 3:9
10. Through marriage: vows we make during marriage can bring curses to us. Prov. 6:2, mostly cultural
vows.
11. Sharing in God’s glory. Mal 2:2
12. When you curse someone the lord has bless. Gen. 12:3, 27:29.
13. When you curse someone with higher spiritual powers. Num. 22:6, 23:8, 24:9
14. Deception. Gen. 27:12-13 ( Jacob stealing Esau’s blessing)
15. Wickedness. Gen. 4:11-16 (Cain & Abel), Judg. 5:23

WHO CAN CURSE AND STAND

1. God: Deut. 28:15-25, Mal. 3:9, Gen 4:11 (If God place a curse on you, no one can remove that
curse except God)
2. Spiritual leaders. Rom. 13:1 (they Have been placed there by God, so if you disobey, you disobey
God)
3. Your Parent. Gen 49:4-9 (Rueben)
4. The Devil
5. Anyone that has authority over you.

CONCLUSION: know it that curse came as a result of disobedience, so we should live in obedience to God
for Him to lavish His unfailing love for us.

Prayers;

God has promise not put the sins of the fathers upon Children, let the blood of Jesus take away any curses
working against us in Jesus name

Topic: CHARACTER STUDY OF PAUL

Text: 2 Cor. 11:21-30

INTRODUCTION

WHO IS PAUL? As Saul, the son of a Hebrew parent, he persecuted the followers of God. A Pharisee
and Roman citizen (Acts 22:3), from a city of Tarsus (Acts 9:11, Phil. 3:5) became apostle to the Gentile
(Rom. 11:13) supported the stoning of Stephen, attacked the early Christians. Miraculously converted on the
road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-9, 22:6-16, 26:12-18), he became the leading missionary of the early Christians
and founded many churches.

Apostle Paul was one of the prominent men who lived in the Bible days; there are numerous virtue in his life
that we can emulate. He was the most dreaded persecutors of the Church as Saul and the mightiest servant of
Christ. What a man to be hold.

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS THAT MADE HIM OUTSTANDING?

1. ENDURANCE
(a) He was a suffering servant, he suffered more than any other servant of Christ (2Cor. 11:24-33,
4:8-10, Rom. 8:18).
(b) Paul became a renowned Apostle of Christ because he endures suffering.

2. ZEAL
(a) Readiness to spend all for Christ sake (2Cor. 12:15).
(b) Ready to preach the gospel (1Cor. 16:18)
(c) Travail over spiritual Children (Gal. 4:18-20).
(d) Desire to know God more (Phil. 3:10-14).
(e) Ready to die for Christ sake (Acts 20:22-25, 21:10-13).

3. HOLINESS
(a) He made holiness a guiding principle of life (Heb: 12:13-15).
(b) Everything was lawful to him (1Cor. 10:20-23).
(c) He avoided been cast away by checking his spiritual life always (1Cor. 9:27, 11:27-29)

4. HUMILITY
(a) He counted all his achievements as dung (nothing) compare to the love of God (Phil. 3:8, 2:3-4).
(b) He was crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20, Phil. 2:5-8).
(c) He display so much humility (Phil. 3:12-14).

CONCLUSION
Luk. 9:23-24. Paul was a man like me and you and God used him mightily because he surrendered
all to Him and was available. For God to effectively use us, we must first surrender all and be ready
to pay the price like Paul did. Amen

Topic: DEALING WITH EVIL INHERITANCE

Text: Numbers 27: 1-3

INTRODUCTION

The word inherit means to receive property, or something from somebody who has died or to
receive (a characteristic) from an earlier generation. Therefore, inheritance is the act of
receiving something from someone who is dead.

Usually, some receive inheritance from parents, or grandparents. Whatever is inherited ought
to used and passed on to the next generation. Inheritance belongs to the family line.
Biblically, inheritance is for both the male and female. Inheritance could be taken from the
original owner-family by death. When somebody is dead, he or she can not lay hold on any
inheritance anymore. Prov. 13:22, 1Kings 21:1-3, 21:15-16; Matt. 21:38-39.

EVIL INHERITANCE
The unfortunate aspect of inheritance is that, just as people inherit properties so do people
inherit evil inheritance (covenants) such as curses, barrenness, broken homes, poverty, delay
marriage evil names, family demons, ill health, suffering premature death etc. from their
parent or ancestors.
And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the
LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner: Let it rest on the head of Joab, and
on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an
issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that
lacketh bread. 2 Sam 3:28-29 (KJV)

The Bible gives example of a man of God, in fact a friend of God called Abraham and how
he suffered from vertical family curse;
And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
Gen 11:20-24 (KJV)

His fore fathers had children early, things were ok with them. Each of them started rearing
children at the age thirty years, the problem started with Terah, his own father.
And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
But Sarai was barren; she had no child. Gen 11:26-30.
Terah served idols and probably broke one of the laws of his god’s, consequently the entire
lineage after him suffered greatly as a result of that. Joshua 24:2. So Terah never had
children until he was seventy years old. Secondly, premature death happened in his family,
his son died before him (you will never bury any of your child in Jesus name.). Thirdly, his
first son, Abraham could not also father a child early enough.
Abraham inherited barrenness. Gen. 12:1-5, Gen. 15:2-3, Gen. 21:5-6.
Abraham’s son Isaac inherited barrenness. Gen. 25:20-21, 26.
Abraham’s grandson Jacob inherited barrenness. Gen. 30:1-2, Gen. 22:24.

HOW DO EVIL INHERITANCES COME?

1. Negative covenants (Lev. 19:28)
2. Satanic family name (Gen. 17:5, 1Sam. 25:25; John 1:42)
3. Wickedness of parents (2Sam. 3:28-29; 2Kings 5:25-27)
4. Marrying without first undergoing deliverance (Gen. 2:24; Deut. 32:30)

HOW TO OVERCOME EVIL INHERITANCE

1. Salvation, if not born again (Jn. 3:3-7; matt.12:43-45)
2. Investigate the root cause (Hosea 4:6)
3. Declare fasting and prayer Matt. 17:21 (venue of prayer should be the family house,
Jos. 1:3)
4. Confession, repentance and destruction of alters (Neh. 1:6; Deut. 7:5; Num. 33:52)
5. Change name, if necessary
6. Reverse covenants and nullify curses 9Isa. 28:18; Gal. 3:13. Lam. 3:37)
7. Hand over the family to God (Matt. 7:7-11)
8. Anoint the family members (Mark 6:13)
9. Pray prophetic prayers and nullify curses (Col. 2:14-15; Ex. 23:25-26; Isa.53:5; Deut.
15:4)

CONCLUSION
There is always an amazing result after deliverance from evil inheritance. God is ready to
deliver your family today if you are willing. Organize deliverance prayer for your family. It
has worked and is still working for several families. Yours will not be an exception.
PRAYERS
1. Thank God for keeping your alive
2. Confess any known sin or inherited evil
3. Destroy every inherited problem form your parent
4. Scatter every inherited demons
5. Every demonic agreement over my life be destroyed
6. Every ancestral inheritance be destroy
7. Every marital inheritance be destroy
8. Every yoke of delay marriage be destroy.
