SOCCSKSARGEN
- is a region of the Philippines in
central Mindanao, officially designated
as Region XII.

This is an acronym that stands for the Region's (4) four provinces and those are:
South Cotabato,
Cotabato,
Sultan Kudarat,
Sarangani,
and (1) a highly urbanized city; General Santos City.

Furthermore, (3) component cities, (45) municipalities, and 1,195 barangays.

This region is formally known by its older name, CENTRAL MINDANAO.
