Cloning is the process of generating a genetically identical copy of a cell or an
organism. Cloning happens all the time in nature but is cloning also good for humans
and animals? Many researchers argue for this topic. Because according to the
researchers’ cloning is more like the existence of monozygotic twins, which is like a
form of natural cloning. As the clown is already born, there’s a big chance that the clown
will not survive because it will live in a different environment, and the clown will not be
genetically the same as the parents. As for the human genome, the editing of the
human may result in inheritable human genetic alterations that pose major hazards, and
human cloning may have unforeseeable consequences for future generations. Slowly,
society is being transformed by adopting cloning through new laws, increased hopes, or
employing emotional aspects as in pet cloning. Unquestionably other researcher thinks
that cloning is the best research tool for science because not just concerned with the
genetic controls of the clown but also allows us to manipulate them. Cultural inheritance
must be protected by safeguarding the genetic code and preventing its alteration. The
ethical and psychological ramifications of cloning are undeniable; thus, they must be
addressed by everyone at all levels and from all walks of life.
In the article Scientific and Ethical Implications of Human and Animal Cloning published
on May 27, 2020, Sidra Shafique points out that cloning is an old paradigm with fresh
ethical dilemmas that society is grappling with today and will confront tomorrow. Sidra
Shafique also did explain the cloning perspective having its broad implications on
research, agriculture, pets, sports animals, and humans she also includes that is not
only inevitable but expected to change the human species forever. Weighing the
advantages vs disadvantages of either reproductive cloning or therapeutic one sums up
unnatural acts, changing the diversity of society, and risks of exploitation. In this paper,
the current impacts of cloning are elaborated on in comparison to the past and predict
what could happen tomorrow or in the future. However, scientists and regulatory officials
believe that, given the gradual acceptance of IVF and animal cloning, the fourteen-day
period is unnecessary. Human cloning will one day be approved by the general public,
just as blastocyst cultivation has been. In this generation as science advances, ethicists
and theologians will develop a favorable argument as well, perhaps three decades from
now. In the present day, Everyone interested in cloning and its effects on society can
understandably discuss the problem of cloning in general, with a concentration on
human cloning in particular. In this paper, the student of Grade 11 STEM of Zamboanga
City Chong Hua High school will discuss to you human cloning from the article of Sidra
Shafique “scientific and Ethical Implications of Human and Animal Cloning” from an
ethical perspective, and view the future of this science research tool.
Conclusion
In conclusion, cloning may have been successful in some ways, but we can’t totally say
that it is safe for humans. because this could be dangerous for animals and humans.
The uncertainty of the eventual outcome in animal research shows that complications
could arise during a human cloning effort. Some of the finest genetic researchers
believe that cloning humans with present knowledge would be a disaster because it
would result in a loss of meaning in life. Society will never be able to make up for the
loneliness these cloned offspring will experience. They would be obliged to live a life
that, to put it mildly, they would despise. Cloning frequently fails because it is impossible
to control how genes are expressed to identify errors in living things. We must handled
this issue seriously to secure the safety and future of human beings that will need to be
debated in the future.
