Answer Question 1:
According to international labour standards on occupational safety and health more than 2.78 million
work-related deaths are recorded every year and out of which 2.4 million are related to occupational
diseases. Well the moral arguments for health and safety usually relate to either ethical and
responsible behaviors. Accidents at work can be very harmful and lead to a serious injury. And even
goes to death too. Its not morally correct to sacrifice human health for an organization activities.
That when any worker wants to join an organization he wants to be feel and also to be safe at
workplace, not only for him but also for his family and it is a moral duty of an employer to keep
the workplace safe for all employees.
It is a benefit of a business that if workplace is safe and if the workers in your construction
company are feeling safe they will love to come to work and it will be a safer and happy place
of work.
In our company we are lacking of our moral duties and responsibilities.
The workers are looking the management for supporting and for helping there issues solving
but the attitude of management is discouraging
There is no communication between workers and management by the fact there is gap
between workers and management.
There were too many near misses but no one reported because of non seriousness of both
management and employees.
There should be revised of policy because it should be revised within a year.
There should be availability of policy to everyone. Every one should know its duty on workplace
mention in policy.
Answer question 2:
Near misses incidents are root cause or weakness in the system which should be identify and solve the
issues so that we can improve safety system hazards control or risk reduction. Well there is car
parking present in the area allocated but due to bad arrangements there is a lot of near misses
happen
We must do serious actions so that the parking issues resolved why because
They are our workers we have to care them so we have to ensure there safety and
health at top priority.
If the confidence of the workers on us at high we will be highly motivated at work place.
We must investigate and resolve the issues of near messes because at anytime it will
convert to big loss. Which will break down in morale of workers and certainly we will
loose too many things on the work place .
It is not a big issue to investigate and than remove hazards but doing this we will
improve and build confidence level in the works too much.
If any accident happen not only it will disturb that employee but also whole environment
will effect from it.
If any thing happen law enforcement agencies can reacts and it will also cost us a lot
mentally, physically and morally we will be on decrease mode.

We have to ensure that car parking spaces should be empty for reversing cars. So that
car’s can be reversed easily and no one can be harmed.
We must educate the people through sign boards to park here and don’t park here.
If any one break the law or don’t care what is written should be imposed warning or
fine.
Answer question 3:
A health and safety policy statement sets out how you are managing your health and
safety on your work place. It can excel your business attitude towards the health of your
workers , which has ultimately a lot of cost cutting benefits of your organization. in my
company Well there is too many points on health and safety policy to be addressed
again and review then for betterment of work place and for workers welfare.
To prevent accidents the ground realities are different there should be no parking in
between and around spaces so that we can prevent and stop near messes which can
cause accidents.
There is prevention of injury in the points , but what we did to prevent for injury
nothing. So it should be review again.
It is our duty to provide safe and healthy workplace so that workers can do there work
freely with out any difficulty.
There should be safe equipment we should provide them because of our own interest if
a worker is safe we will definitely on cost cutting mode.
There are no such trainings we must educate and train them for safe handling of
equipment’s not only for them but also for whole workplace.
There should be SMART and realistic measures for there safety and health. We must do
and achieve all the safety goals within required time.
It is our duty to meet all legal requirement because without those we cab be in eye of
law enforcement agencies by which we can be hurt very badly both reputation and
morally.

There should be confidence building so that every one knows the hazards and they
should have confidence to report it so that we cab take serious action to remove or
minimize hazards.
Training is an important part but in the current situation we are not conducting any
trainings which can harm a lot we must train and educate all for that we can ensure our
health and safety.
The consulting with workers is a essential part so that we cab learn and do measures to
identify hazards and there difficulties and remove or solve them. on ground we are
lacking from that.
I must say there should be review policy with in a year because in past ten years passes
but no review. And ten years means too much changes like in workers equipment
ground realities etc.
Answer question 4:
Well safety meetings can help to clear safety hazards in and out side workplace. A safety meeting is
the time to point out minor hazards before the real incidents. It gives us good discussion to control
hazards and minimize the risk. There should be in my company , meetings conducting on regular basis
with all stake holders.
There are twenty companies involve so we must conduct all the companies a meeting to
identify and solve our and there hazards.
There should be meetings with different contractors of different companies so that there should
be discussions which can make our and there work place more safer.
There should be meeting with mobile workers to identify and solution of there problems.
The contract managers of our company should be in meeting so that we can discuss and solve
problems relating to them on work place.
There should be meeting with traffic control staff so that there should not be disturbance of
traffic and also minimize all hazards relating to traffic control.
There should be training of all workers on work place with there operation managers because
they are the front line workers they are working in all types of condition. So for there safety we
have to educate them.
Answer question 5:

A culture is you can call it as a way of life of a certain group of people or a community or a
nation. It is what we call as it is a behaviors or beliefs or values of a part of group peoples.
Writing for current working culture of my company through safety and health is very low rated.
I am arising some points for betterment of my company.
There should be fix timing for each employee entering and exit time mention , not shown in my
company and that’s very bad behavior of company’s management.
The culture of contract managers is a feeling of agitation and not a friendly because they came
and go without the consult of workers and if consult them use abusive language.
There is no policy adopting to follow the traffic rules nor they have culture to learn the rules of
traffic and parking.
There is no risk assessment culture to knows what is causing near misses accidents in parking
area.
There is bad and irresponsible culture of drivers on field they don’t know the danger and
hazards during there reckless driving.
No such culture of co workers who are working around parking area.
Workers has no reporting culture because of to be blamed.
There is no communication culture between workers and management.
There is failure of arrangements because of which there is flood lights in parking area not
working properly. Or on time of emergency not working by which shows the bad culture of
managements who should provide all arrangements.
There is also bad culture of health and safety officer who didn’t post any policy on notice board.
There is no cultural approach as I searched statement of general policy couldn’t find any where.
I asked contract manager for safety policy but he told me that it is only available to third party
it should be available in company documents that shows irresponsible behavior and culture of
all the managers.
