All underground and overhead cables must be located or arranged so they are not in
the way of activities on site (i.e., redirected, buried with sufficient ground clearance).
Socket outlets for distribution cables should be located as close to the working point
as possible to prevent the need for long trailing wires.
Avoid cable laying through sharp edges.
Protection to be provided to cables based on the area of laying.
Specific signage for the routed/laid cable to be displayed
Use PVC insulated hook or start routing of cable.
Don’t route the cable through the vehicle movement access.
Maintain 1.5meters to routing the cable through the fencing.

electrical testing
A test before touch (not live) must be completed:

breakers. work on any electrical
equipment
II. A Permit to Work shall be required to Check that circuits are dead
before working on electrical equipment, i.e. Test Before Touch.
III. All exposed electrical parts and
conductors, including earthing
conductors must be treated as
live until proven
Personnel MUST NOT remove the installed manufacturers safety guarding,
protective covers, plates, or shrouds, without confirmation through a "Test before
touch" procedure, by use of an approved non-contact voltage tester. (LA-HSE-COP-
001 Rev. 001 - Electrical Works)
Personnel MUST ensure that after "Test before touch with a Non-Contact Voltage
Tester" is completed, that a mandatory test by use of a calibrated 'multi-Meter" is
undertaken to confirm that no potential energy is stored within the circuit.
Review and Enhance the existing “Buddy System” to minimize “Human Error – Slips
& Lapses”, where personnel are working in areas that are classed as "Energized".
Electrical Teams must be monitored (on a daily basis) to ensure that basic electrical
compliance checks (testing) are being completed to the approved industry standard.
Those involved in testing and commissioning must fully understand the potential
risks of "Arc Flash", and that appropriate PPE (Dependent on Risk Profile) is worn at
all times.
The following test equipment shall be used and recorded on record Sheet which
come under Category 4 or Category 5, ensure all test equipment are calibrated and
certificates are in place.
I. 1000 Volt Insulation Tester
II. Phase Sequence Meter.
III. Digital Multimeter
IV. Digital Clamp meter
