STEP 1: PRE-INSTALLATION
6) Using a 2.5” hole-saw drill out the holes for the floor louvers. There are factory dimples in the
cab panels showing where to start your drill bit (PIC05) (PIC06).
7) Unscrew the face of the louver from the adapter and set the face in the hole, then screw the
adapter on from the back side of the panel.
▪ Install the duct clips on the louver adapters for max hold. The duct will be installed later
in the installation.
8) With the top dash panel off, turn it over and locate the 2 factory embossments where you will cut
out the defrost vent openings.
▪ Make sure to cut INSIDE the embossment ridge (PIC07). If you cut outside the
embossment it will be slightly too large.
▪ Drill a 1/8” bit hole in each corner, then use a razor blade knife (or other cutting tool) to
connect cut to each hole.
9) Once the holes are cut, insert the rectangle defrost vents (PIC08).
▪ Leave the top dash panel off the machine, it will be reinstalled in STEP 6.
STEP 3: WIRING
10) Cut an opening and install the rocker switch in one of the factory holes.
11) Using the wiring harness, plug the switch connecter into the back of the rocker switch.
12) Using the wiring harness provided, run the power wires (red/black) through the wiring grommet
to the front of the machine and plug into the factory connector (PIC09).
13) The high/low wire (yellow/orange) connector will be connected to the heater blower connector
later in the installation.
14) Cut a 4-foot piece of the supplied heater hose (use the white notches on the hose to measure), this
will be the return heater hose. The remaining heater hose is the inlet heater hose.
15) Remove the large rubber grommet from the firewall and cut the hole opening larger. Run the two
pieces of heater hose through it (PIC10).
16) Before the heater box is mounted, connect the heater hoses to the heater box. The return hose
goes on the upper heater core fitting (when mounted) and the inlet heater hose goes on the lower
heater core fitting (when mounted). See PIC11 where we rest the heater box to connect the
heater hose before the heater box is mounted.
17) Re-install the rubber grommet back onto the firewall.
18) Cut the duct hose provided in to (4) equal lengths (approx. 3-feet a piece) and connect them to the
heater box adapters. This is easiest to do while the heater is still in the position shown in PIC11.
19) Lift the box into place and mount with the long Phillips bolt (PIC12) (PIC13).
▪ Note how the plastic spacer is used on the top side of the steering wheel bracket.
▪ Feed the excess heater hose out the grommet and into the front of the machine.
20) Now install the aluminum mounting bracket by setting it into place and using the self-tapping
screw provided to mount it to the machine framing (PIC12) (PIC13).
21) Install the louver ends of the duct to the louver adapters using the zip ties provided.
22) Connect the high/low wire (yellow/orange) connector the heater blower connector.
23) Reinstall the machine panels back onto the machine.
24) Using clamps, clamp off on each side of the lower radiator line where you will cut in to install the
1” Y-Fitting (PIC14), once installed, secure with the hose clamps provided.
▪ Make sure the 5/8” splice is pointing toward the radiator, the coolant flows back into the
lower radiator line in the same direction it is moving from the radiator.
25) Run the return heater hose to the Y-Fitting, trim as needed, and secure with hose clamps.
26) From the passenger side rear wheel well, locate the oil cooler line. Make a cut in the oil cooler
line and install the Tee-Valve (PIC15), secure with hose clamps provided.
▪ When ON (yellow handle pointing at the heater hose) all of the coolant will be diverted to
the heater and returned to the engine at the Y-Fitting. When OFF (yellow handle parallel
with oil cooler hose) all the coolant will flow to the water pump and up to the radiator
(like normal).
▪ Note the handle is on the bottom of the Tee when installed (handle is facing down).
PLEASE REFER TO PIC15 so this does not get installed wrong.
27) Run the inlet heater hose under the machine to the rear passenger side. Zip tie out of the way of
the drive shaft, if needed, then install onto the Tee-Valve.
▪ For the 2-seat model, remove the center floor panel and run the hose to the rear of the
machine (PIC16). On the Crew model you will need to drop the main skid plate under
the machine and run the heater hose to the rear.
