• Viewing of available comps and properties before importing a Property

• Coexistence of CAPE-OPEN components in AES 11.1 and later (e.g. 12.1)

• Proper matching of components when importing a Property Package by
using the CAS numbers

•Scope as per AES 11.1, with the following improvements:
• Upgrade to v1.0 of the specifications
– v0.93 is kept for upwards compatibility
• Addition of Reaction Interface Socket within CAPE-OPEN Unit Operations
– Used, for example, by Fluent interface
• Implementation of “Public Variables”
– Allows parameter(s) of a CAPE-OPEN model to be manipulated from Aspen
Plus or used in Aspen Plus as part of a specification
• Significant improvements in performance:
– 15 times faster when using an AspenTech Package in a third-party application

•Agreement with Fluent Inc to market Fluent software for use in Aspen
Plus and HYSYS

• Supports CAPE-OPEN property package equilibrium Calculations for
efficiency.
• COMThermo socket may be applied to HYSYS 3.0, HYSYS.Concept, and
any COMThermo enabled simulator.
