PERSONAL STATEMENT
A highly knowledgeable and motivated Finance and Accounting professional with excellent
communication skills both orally and verbally in my work. I come along with a bachelor’s degree in
Commerce (Accounting) and CPA. I am also a driven individual who enjoys a powerful career in accounting
and finance industry, flexible, always focused to maintain a calm and professional demeanour, even when
working under pressure. In my current and previous roles, I have been responsible for managing a number of
budgets and cash flow and providing detailed analysis of financial data. Looking to further my knowledge and
take on new responsibilities and challenges. I can plan and organize my workload effectively so that I know
exactly what I should be doing and when it has to be done so meeting deadlines is something that comes
naturally to me. Detail is also important to me; I like to ensure that I always pay attention to detail on anything
that I work on to make sure that I complete the task at work successfully. I am a very motivated person who
desires to have a successful career and now looking forward to making a significant contribution to an
institution that offers a genuine opportunity for progression.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Tugende is a for -Profit social enterprise formally established in 2012 in Uganda. We use assest finance,
technology and a customer-centric model to help informal sector entrepreneurs (MSMEs) dramatically
increase their economic trajectory.
• Processing of payments and financial transactions to suppliers and obtaining goods and services
from suppliers promptly.
• Liaising with finance officers and suppliers concerning stock management, financial records and
accounts.
• Verifying expense reports and querying invoice items from internal and external business finance
officers.
• Communicating with the Accounts Payable team and comparing system reports to better manage
Accounts Payable processes.
• Processing weekly payment to different branches in Central, Eastern, Western,Northern part of
Uganda.

Starthub Africa is a German based organization operating in Africa committed to boosting entrepreneurship
and innovation in Africa. We have a systemic mindset as good entrepreneurship support requires multiple
players and functions. We build those networks for African entrepreneurship support requires multiple players
and functions. We build those networks for African entrepreneurs, matching with investors, connecting
African startup to opportunities, introducing quality partners and running our own activities where support is
otherwise scarce. In this role, below were the responsibilities,
• Participating in Setting up or implementing Accounting system and policies that fits the company because it
was still a startup (New) in Uganda.
• Supporting in developing internal financial policies and processes and improving them continuously
• Making sure StartHub Africa and SHA are tax compliant while being tax efficient
• Making sure all necessary receipts and supporting documents are available in soft copy as well as filed in
hard copy.
• Handling petty cash which include: Handing out petty cash upon approved requests to employees, following
up with accountability for the money spent with the employees.

World Trumpet Mission (WTM) is an international inter-denominational Christian organization that acts as a
catalyst for spiritual awakening and revival around the world. It comes alongside churches, colleges,
communities, cities and whole nations to help bring about spiritual awakening, equip the revived, and provoke
them into God's destiny. It raises a growing force of missionaries who travel around the world working
alongside God’s people to facilitate prayer altars, unity in the Body of Christ, spiritual awakening, mass soul
harvest... all resulting in transforming revival.
• Overseeing the management of income and expenditure of the Ministry for different centres.
• Set budget priorities in line with the budgets of the different departments of the Ministry upon the
available funds.
• Sharing Timely monthly repots an annual repots to the Director of Finance.
• Maintaining sound financial accounting system, records keeping and internal controls.
• Coordinate with External Auditors and enable external audit process.
• Managing the reimbursement of Petty cash for the different centres of the Ministry.
• Follow up on the daily income banking.
• Cross checking Monthly bank reconciliation.
• Cross checking daily sales receipts posted in Quick books
• Verifying the income collected with the daily income reports.
• Ensuring compliance to Statutory requirements Like PAYE, NSSF.
• Perform any other managerial and financial duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
While here, I gained first-hand experience in a real accounting practice. filing data entry, recording and
maintaining accurate and complete financial records, preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and
income statements, invoices, and other documents, working with bookkeeping software, handling sensitive or
confidential information with honesty and integrity and learning how to work as part of the accounting team to
compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
